TEFL certified Canadian teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience in EYFS and Primary. Holding a Master's degree in Education, I have devoted much of my time researching, developing, and implementing the best pedagogies that assist early learners to build an inquiry mindset and become lifelong self-regulated learners. With my years of experience teaching in the classroom and through tutoring 1:1, I have adopted a wide range of techniques and skills that help tailor my teaching to meet the needs of every student I encounter and help them truly reach their full potential. My teaching experience spans across American, British, Canadian and IB schools and has allowed me to bring the very best to my students. I speak 3 languages and consider myself a global citizen! I love books and reading with the hope of inspiring my students to be avid readers themselves :)

Hi there! I'm a master's qualified English teacher with a broad range of experience and expert subject knowledge. I have two teaching qualifications: a PGCE and CELTA. The PGCE is in Post-16 and Further education. The CELTA is for the teaching of English as a foreign language to adults. Both of these gave me a solid grounding in the fundamentals of language teaching and education. I recently completed a master's degree in Education and Language. All this means I have a deep undesrstanding of how people learn and use languges which I use to improve my teaching practice. I have experience in several areas of English teaching. I have taught in secondary schools and further education institutions in the UK. This includes teaching English A-level, GCSE and Functional Skills. I have also taught English as a foreign language to overeas learners in Austalia, Spain and the UK. I have taught children and adult students. Finally, I have taught English for academic purposes to prospective undergrad, master's and PhD students.

I am a highly experienced tutor of Mathematics, Physics, Science and German. I have been a private tutor since 2009. I enjoy teaching students of all ages and abilities immensely. Seeing someone develop throughout the course of our work together is extremely rewarding. I am native German and graduated from (the German equivalent to) Grammar School with an A average, after which I did my Bachelors Degree here in London, graduating in the top set of my year. Being a native German speaker, I enjoy sharing my mother tongue with students from all around the world. Throughout the years I have taught students of all kinds of backgrounds including children of German parents, who wanted help raising their children bilingually, as well as UK students, who need help improving their German skills in school and adults, who want to learn the language to expand their career opportunities. My main focus group in Maths and Physics are students from the age of 11 to 16 (Levels KS3 to GCSE). I have also always found great interest and joy in Maths and Science and my main goal is not only to help students to improve their grades, but to also encourage them to find a greater understanding and fun in the subjects they might have a lack of enthusiasm for. I am able to communicate material that might sound hard and unmanageable in school in a clearer way, so that my students get a much better and deeper grasp of the subject. They are then able to transfer these acquired skills to their work in school. I only teach subjects that I feel passionate about and I believe that shows in my teaching approach. In my opinion learning a new language or improving oneself in a certain subject is a team effort between the teacher and the student, which is exactly how I treat my lessons. My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of my students. I follow their school curriculum to support their learning at school but alter from it, if I find a different approach to a certain topic would be beneficial to the student. Every students learns differently and I incorporate that into the development of our lessons. The same goes for my adult learner students. We all have a busy daily schedule and I acknowledge that. But I still keep a heavy focus on the goal set in the beginning of our lessons.
