I am a hardworking and friendly student who is currently studying Law at King’s College London. Through the course of my education, I have always been a high-achieving, well rounded student having scored 4A’s (including Maths) during A levels and 7A*’s (including Maths) and 5A’s during GCSE’s. I tutor students between the age of 10-18 preparing them for GCSE and A level exams. I aim to give confidence to students and help them enjoy subjects they find challenging. My experience in tutoring Maths students for 5 years has helped me to understand that each student works at a particular level and has a different style of learning. Therefore, I adapt my teaching methods to best fit each individual and provide an efficient teaching and learning experience. Throughout secondary school I was an avid public speaker and continue to do so, this has refined my communication abilities. I am highly aware of the course structure and the importance of exam technique. I use a combination of diagrams, past papers and engaging sessions to ensure students have learnt and retained key concepts. I am also open to helping students with writing their personal statements for university applications.

Hi, my name is Samira! Here's a some key information about my experience and what I can offer as a tutor... I've completed a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology at Goldsmith's University London and also obtained a P.G.C.E in Primary Education at The University of East London. Most recently, I have become qualified as a T.E.F.L. teacher and have accumulated over 120 hours of accredited training through the Q.D.L.Q.C. Over the past five years I have taught the Primary Curriculum extensively as a classroom teacher - so I know it like the back of my hand! I've gained lots of varied experience as a tutor, including 1-1 home tuition for 11+ entrance exams and S.A.T.S. and online tuition for E.F.L. with adult and child-learners. Primarily, I teach in a way that allows for students to "discover" learning and meaning. This means that I build lessons around provocative questions, games, puzzles and challenges. I also always ensure that my students become assessors of their own learning - this way they can deepen their understanding and truly build their independence! I have become a tutor because it is INCREDIBLY REWARDING for me. My key strengths have always been my ability to truly connect with students, appreciate their uniqueness and make them feel at ease. I have always witnessed the success of these attributes through student's progress and I believe this is why I enjoy tutoring so much. Lastly, here's a bit about me! I grew up in a small town called Bath, I love hitting the gym and getting a sweat on, I am passionate about learning languages, I meditate daily and I enjoy reading about other cultures and perspectives. I hope to hear from you soon and look forward to meeting you :)

I have been tutoring for over 15 years and I have lots of experience in teaching English at all levels. I tutor face- to- face and also online and have experience in teaching English as a foreign language, both online with students in China and in groups to European students in a summer school. I have a wealth of great resources that can help students understand the subject they are studying much better and lots of in depth knowledge of my subject as I have a Master's Degree in English. I can also prepare students for private school entry and 11 plus and I have an excellent record in helping students gain entry into their desired school. I have 8 years of experience in a college setting, teaching GCSE and A level English. I have also taught privately at undergraduate level, helping with research for dissertations, for example. I am also an examiner so can help students reach their potential in their exams. This experience means that I can help students to avoid the common pitfalls that can be encountered in exams; such as structuring their answers and answering in the time allowed.
