I have spent the last 3 years working as a teacher at various schools in London and in Colombia where I lived for 2 years. I am most qualified to teach English as a foreign language which is what I taught in Colombia but I am also very keen to teach more of the Spanish that I learned in the last 2 years which I am confident doing up to A-level. From the age of 16 I began to tutor GCSE maths and physics to students in my local area and since then I have never ceased to both enjoy and find tutoring immensely rewarding. I have experience teaching private tutor groups of up to three, one to one as well as whole class groups at school. I have taught ages from as young as 3 years old to all adult ages. Mathematics is the subject that I have tutored the most over the years as I taught it throughout my studies at university. It is also a subject that I greatly enjoy teaching as it is easy to see the results of my students progress. During 2018 I worked tutoring English online or 2 different international companies, which worked more or less in a Skype format with various other well thought out interactive functions alongside this. Regularly conversing with people from all corners of the globe has been both fascinating and challenging and has expanded my world view. Above all I am just a friendly, fun young man who loves working in a professional world where I constantly get to meet, converse and learn from new people. While I'm very dedicated and hard-working when it comes to my students it is of the upmost importance to me to create a fun and relaxed working environment where we can always have a laugh together. I love being able to put across all the aspects of my personality in my teaching style which is one of the reasons tutoring is such s pleasure for me. Future students - I look forward to meeting you!

Why work with a Government and Politics tutor?

It is widely acknowledged that politics and government deeply and intrinsically affect our daily lives. From Brexit to how you recycle, your human rights to why the train is late, immigration to the price of your grocery shop, there is no aspect of life that goes unaffected by Government and Politics. Studying Government and Politics at any level is empowering. It enables students to understand what is going on, to make better political decisions, to get involved in the political process, to avoid being taken in by “false news” and to know their rights. Who can benefit from a private Government and Politics tutor?

The workings of our Government and Politics affect us from as early as childhood, but our ability to understand and participate in the Governmental and Political systems that surround us really kicks in as soon as we start to study it. With some students able to begin studying Government and Politics at GCSE level, hiring a private Government and Politics tutor as early as possible is the best way to ensure students can get to grips with this complex subject, particularly if they hope to progress onto further education or a career in the field. Whether it is for top grades, your career, or simply to better understand your rights and the systems and processes that dictate your daily life, hiring a private Government and Politics tutor will ensure you attain the knowledge and understanding you need to achieve your goals.

GCSE Government and Politics tutor - The subject of Government and Politics has only recently been introduced at GCSE Level and can only currently be studied in Northern Ireland with the CCEA exam board. However, if the course continues to be popular and successful it may soon be taken up by additional exam boards and rolled out across the UK. The GCSE Government and Politics course introduces students to the concepts and structure of democracy and international politics, as well as their alternatives. Students will learn about national issues such as citizen rights and responsibilities, the policies of various political parties and how concepts such as left wing and right wing are defined, as well as studying the role and impact of the media. Students will also study global issues such as how international organisations respond to issues such as migration, trade and conflict resolution. Through this detailed and challenging course, students can establish a clear understanding of the political world both at home and abroad. However, many students find getting to grips with such a complicated course while dealing with the pressure of GCSE study overwhelming. The support of a qualified GCSE Government and Politics tutor can revolutionise a student's academic experience. Our knowledgeable tutors are able to break down the course materials, identify and resolve any gaps in a students understanding, and prepare them for examination. With the help of a private GCSE Government and Politics tutor, students can gain a real insight into the political landscape that governs us all and achieve a top GCSE grade.
A-Level Government and Politics tutor - For most students, A-level Government and Politics is their first opportunity to begin formally studying the subject. The A-Level course serves as an introduction to the national and international political landscape, teaching students about the systems and processes that make up governments from a local to international level. While courses and exam boards vary, all students will cover UK government and politics, looking in detail at the political parties and processes in the United Kingdom. Students will also study politics on an international level, either by direct comparison to American Politics or through studying the international political landscape, ideologies and international organisations. The A-Level Government and Politics syllabus is both broad and detailed. The course is particularly demanding in terms of the breadth of knowledge students are expected to retain. As a result, many students struggle to absorb all the information and are left feeling overwhelmed. Students will also need to develop strong analytical and essay writing skills in order to be successful in their final exams. >br< With the pressure of A-Level results weighing heavily on students minds, attempting to complete such a challenging course can often feel like an impossible task. With the guidance of an A-level Government and Politics tutor, students can rise up to the challenge and excel in this prestigious course. Tutor House Government and Politics tutors are experienced teaching A-Level politics across all the major exam boards. Whether a student is studying for AQA, Edexcel, or OCR (to name just a few), our experienced tutors will ensure they hit the specifications and get top results. To secure academic success, find your A-level Politics tutor today.
Politics Degree tutor - Many students studying Politics at degree level are new to the subject and the course reflects this, providing students with a broad overview of the structure and processes of Government and Politics in the UK. However, Politics degree courses quickly dive into complex elements of Political discourse. Students will study international politics and institutions as well as political ideologies, considering everything from freedom and equality to human rights and the debate over international intervention, as well as the opposing ideas of democracy, anarchy, communism and liberalism. Many University courses offer students the option of combining their politics degree with other courses such as Economics, Philosophy, or History while others offer students the chance to specialise in areas of Politics such as International Politics, Development Politics, Public Policy or Peace and Conflict Studies. However experienced a student is, and whatever route they choose, studying a Politics degree is a huge undertaking. Students must adjust to University life, a new way of learning, and new levels of academic rigour if they are to succeed in this famously challenging subject. At this critical point in your academic career, the support of a private Politics tutor specialising in University tuition can make all the difference in your course experience and success. Many of our Politics degree tutors are also University lecturers or professors, offering unrivalled expertise on both the field and the specifics of your course. Private Politics tutors can help with every element of the degree course, from explaining complex ideas to advising further reading or giving focused essay and exam guidance. To ensure your success at this vital point in your academic career, find your perfect Politics private tutor with Tutor House today.

From prospective career changes to simply wanting to better understand your rights, the Politics of your country or how we fit in the international political framework, studying politics as an adult has a whole host of benefits. Yes. All tutors must have a valid DBS certificate before their profile goes live on the Tutor House site. We do in-house DBS checks, which means we get DBS done very quickly. If a tutor’s DBS certificate is not validated or has expired then their profile will taken down until a new DBS certificate is issued. Although this is completely over to the tutor to notify us when it has expired. Once we’ve checked the tutors DBS, we are not responsible for keeping it up to date. A DBS (Disclosed Baring Service) is a way of checking tutors. Tutor House performs a background check, and a police checks. We make sure that all tutors are suitable to work with children and adults, before their profiles go live. The DBS replaced the CRB.

A

If a tutor is late for a lesson then it is the duty of the tutor to arrange to make up the lost time by finding a time that suits you both, either on the same day or another mutually convenient time. Usually the tutor will make up the time during the lesson. For example if the tutor was 30 minutes late they would stay an extra 30 minutes at the end of the lesson. If this is not possible you can then either ask the tutor to make up the time at the next lesson, or contact us and we will arrange a partial refund for you. If the tutor fails to do this then please contact us via disputes@tutorhouse.co.uk and we will respond to your dispute within 48 hours, if not sooner.

A

By default, when searching for a tutor you will be shown the nearest tutors to your location. Travelling longer distances may incur additional travel costs; however the tutor will inform you if this is the case, and any travel costs can be mutually agreed before the lesson is booked. Most tutors would expect to travel up to 45 minutes to get you, at no extra cost. If there are additional charges the tutor will make you aware of that. You can always ask the tutor for online lessons if there is the possibility of travel costs being added to the costs of your lessons. Most of our Tutors infact use Skype and can carry out lessons online with no additional cost. Sometimes online courses is the perfect answer.

A

Yes, we do take a fee, but at a fraction of the rate which other companies charge. We don’t have a sign up fee for new customers, we don’t charge an introduction fee, and we don’t charge administration fees. However, we do charge a small commission which pays for the security of tutors (we meet all tutors, check their DBS certificates and ensure they are who they say there are), and the maintenance of the site. If you have any problems using the site, you can always email or call us.

A

Once you have made the lesson request, you can communicate with the tutor. You can discuss your tuition requirements and the lesson timing with in-app instant messaging. The messaging is instant, so your tutor will receive the notification via both; the website and email. Hence he or she can respond to immediately. You may wish to discuss your preferred lesson time and date, or discuss which exam board you’re studying for A-levels and GCSE’s, or even to discuss specific text and books which you are currently studying. Also, You can communicate with the tutor with the instant in-app messaging at any point (before or after the booking has been made). Please note that it is possible for you and the tutor to mutually agree to booking changes after this stage. This must be done within the messenger app on the website. You can also use the same means of comunication to find out more about the tutor, after you have requested a booking. In addition to this you can always check the tutors reviews and ranking.

While courses and exam boards vary, all students will cover UK government and politics, looking in detail at the political parties and processes in the United Kingdom. Students will also study politics on an international level, either by direct comparison to American Politics or through studying the international political landscape, ideologies and international organisations. As a result, many students struggle to absorb all the information and are left feeling overwhelmed.
