Provide free hand outs and lesson material-being very altruistic. Caring. Attitude that Education is not a cost-it is an investment, and I expect the same amount of commitment from a student that I put in to preparing and delivering their tuition. I like to organise my lessons and I like to see my students are properly prepared, that they have a copy of the syllabus, that they do the homework that has been set, and that they have all the study materials with them. Good organisation leads to efficiency. I have a number of testimonials from students, perhaps one of the most memorable considering from whom it came was from a student who had been excluded from school and I had been teaching him A' Level Economics. he said that i was the best business teacher he had ever had. My students normally achieve high grades-A' levels achieve A or B grades. In a classroom scenario, I normally achieve upwards of 75% pass rate. I focus very strongly on exam technique and my lessons, particularly with Economics often begin with this point.

I have taught over 100 students with different personal needs, so I am experienced in tailoring tuition to each individual's needs. I go over specific points as much as necessary focusing on students areas of focus alongside pushing their strengths. A student's understanding and success is always my goal. In order to prepare for exams, I like to practice exams questions and go through step by step to ensure depth of understanding. I am passionate about my subject and hope students have a pleasant experience!

Do Surds, Algebra, Simultaneous Equations, Trigonometry, and Graphs always bring your child down? I can understand. Teaching Math is not just about knowing the subject but also about understanding how the younger minds can absorb the knowledge. Your child, like anyone other child, has the ability to acquire new knowledge and understand complexities. It's just a matter of finding the right key to unlock his brain. I actually started teaching since I was 16 years old. I was teaching Math and Physics to my classmates. I gave private tuition in Qatar (where I worked as a Chartered Accountant with the Big 4). I taught Math, French and Business Studies to students (aged between 10 and 17) on a private basis. On a voluntary basis, I was teaching English to non-English speaking low paid workers (Indians, Bangladeshis, Nepalis, Syrians and Egyptians). To date, I am still teaching my two children. One doing her GCSE and one doing his BTEC. From Primary to Secondary, I have always taught them and they have both done very well and have passed their yearly exams. If I can make my children pass their exams at all times (up to their CGSEs) with As to Cs, I can't see why I cannot do same with yours. I teach Step-by-Step and use lots of Flowcharts. It worked so well with my students. It made problem solving much easier.

I have done a number of mentoring and tuition assignments within my Business School Studies (I am MBA from London Business School), helping younger people to prepare for the interview and develop their personal story. I have also worked with people who are 18-23 years old, helping them to get ready for the exams, write a thesis or prepare for an interview. Finally, I am helping out several A-levels students currently with their studies. I personally find it quite rewarding working with the students and see them progress. I put specific emphasis not only on the exam results as a formal requirement, but also on making sure that one understands the inner logic of a subject and it's practical application in real life, i.e. why do you need to learn this and how you will benefit from this knowledge. Doing this kind of work gives a sense of fulfilment, as I am passing along the knowledge and experience and helping people be more successful.

I have been tutoring for nearly six years, during this time i have been able to get experience for a wide range of subjects and ages (from 7 to 19). I enjoy the challenge of being able to work with the child to improve their understanding and enjoyment of the subject. I recently finished a six week stint as a residential tutor in Switzerland working with an iGCSE candidate.

I studied geography at the University of Bristol where I graduated with a second class honours (upper division). After university, I joined Ernst and Young and qualified as an accountant. I left the company after four successful years in the profession to pursue a burning desire to teach. Since September, I have started teaching Geography at an independent secondary school in Croydon. I teach a variety of age groups from KS3 to A-level. If I am not in the classroom, you will find me on the sports pitch. I have a huge passion for all sports, particularly rugby, hockey and cricket. My approach to education is similar to that which I experienced as a student. I encourage a holistic approach, recognising the importance of a balanced education. I will not lecture, but seek to encourage and facilitate an independent culture and development in the classroom as well as practice varied learning techniques, set challenges, encourage interaction and demand a high standard of work. Students should have high aspirations; not all do. The challenge is to find the right teaching techniques to motivate the students and give them the aspiration to succeed.
