I am a undergraduate mathematics student at the University of Birmingham, currently in my third year of studies. My core interests are in pure mathematics, namely abstract structures such as groups and rings. I am a part of the Department for Education’s Future Teaching Scholar program, wherein I work closely with linked schools to gain experience in the field of teaching whilst I am studying in university, in order to progress onto a teaching career once I graduate.
Since I am a part of the Future Teaching Scholars program, you can be confident knowing that I am passionate about learning and education, and that I have a plethora of experience teaching students ages 11 to 18 in a variety of environments (1-to-1, small groups, big classes). I also have strong pedagogical knowledge about my subject, and I am very keen to apply this to my career in education.
Each tutoring session will be delivered to the highest standard, and I am very quick to modify my teaching style to suit the needs of all of my clients. I will also make sure each lesson is prepared for thoroughly, and that progress is being assessed constantly so that we know where to improve.
