We’re a team of experienced educators who came together with one goal in mind: to create a new platform that provides an easy way for people who are looking to connect with passionate, exceptional tutors at an affordable price.
Alex – Director
Alex is the founder and director of Tutor House and has a degree in Psychology. He has worked in the educational industry for 14 years; teaching Psychology for 8 years at a School in London and now running Tutor House, after setting it up in 2012. Alex still tutors every week, he writes for the Huffington Post and has appeared on the BBC and ITV to discuss educational topics. Alex is an educational consultant and UCAS expert, he’s worked with hundred of students over the years. He’s obsessed with squash, but is distinctly average.
Luke – Operations Manager
Luke is a Business & Management graduate from the University of Sussex. Having worked in a variety of industries, Luke has experience in research, analysis and customer insight. His roles at Tutor House include; managing and designing the website, day to day operations, taking photos for tutor profiles, whilst also assisting with business development. He is an avid skier when he gets the chance!
Hollie – Tutor Manager
Hollie is the Tutor Manager at Tutor House. She has recently completed her undergraduate in English Language and Literature at the University of Sussex and has moved from Oxford to London to join the team! Hollie’s role as tutor manager is to meet and manage the tutors within the company; working to make sure they achieve their full potential whilst overseeing all social media platforms. Hollie is a gym enthusiast and a huge foodie.
Diana – Content Manager
Diana is the Content Manager at Tutor house. She completed her undergraduate degree in Journalism in Toronto, Canada, where she grew up. She is completing her Masters in Multimedia Journalism at the University of Westminster this year. Diana has experience in marketing and social media in addition to writing and reporting on a global scale. Her roles at Tutor House include writing new content and blog posts for our website and managing our social media. When she’s not in the office, you can find her travelling through Europe.
Catherine – Customer Manager
Catherine is from Liverpool, moving to London in 2011 to study English Literature at Queen Mary University of London. Having previously worked in finance and HR for the hospitality industry, her role of Client Manager at Tutor House consists of matching customers with the best tutor to fit their needs. When she is not in the office, you can find her in the studio creating art!
Laura – Customer Support
Laura is the friendly face of Customer Support and will always be happy to help! She’s a Drama graduate of Queen Mary University and the newest member of the team. Her role is to aid clients in finding the best tutor to suit their needs and aiding the getting started process. She’s always on hand to help. When not in the office you can find her DJing at a rock ‘n’ roll gig or cruising the canal on her very own houseboat.
