Teaching has always been a passion and I am extremely dedicated to my job role. I enjoy all types of teaching and have taught all ages and in all types of environments. Alongside teaching English, maths, and science, etc, I also like to focus on the child’s holistic development which I believe is pivotal. I also do private tutoring online on one to one basis and group sessions. I like to teach my children through joyful interaction which assists them in reaching their full potential and achieving above and beyond their level of expectations. I have seen dramatic improvements from children who started off with very little or no English-speaking skills at all in becoming the highest achievers, furthermore, receiving recognition and awards in their educational institutions. I am very soft-hearted towards the children I teach, nevertheless, this does not mean that they can get away with not completing their studies. I am extremely flexible and can easily adapt quickly to new situations. You will find me highly empathic towards the children and very understanding, regardless of their age. All people big or small should be treated with the utmost respect. I do my best to dedicate my spare time to supporting charity events, group talks, and teaching children.

I am currently studying Biochemistry at University of Oxford having finished schooling at North London Collegiate School where I gained 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. I have had previous experience tutoring IB biology, chemistry, English, maths and economics as well as GCSE French, English, maths, biology and chemistry. I believe in altering my teaching style according to the student and have had experience in tutoring a variety of different academic abilities and ages. I am extremely organised and am happy to go above and beyond in regards to preparation and gathering resources to help the student. My experience in tutoring for IB and GCSE means that I am good at ensuring that all parts of the syllabus are covered and that the student is well informed of what’s expected in the exam. One of my IB students was recently admitted to Tufts University in Massachusetts while other students that I am currently tutoring for SAT are currently applying for numerous highly ranked American Universities.

I am a qualified teacher. I have a doctoral degree in science from the Manchester University. I have also obtained a Master’s degree, in biomedical science and a Bachelor’s degree (in Genetics ) from the University of Sheffield (UK). I have completed a postgraduate course in education and gained my qualified teacher status from Manchester University. Currently , i am a science teacher in a UK mainstream school. My career has provided me with a rich variety of teaching opportunities. i have been involved in teaching and training of undergraduate students in different science subjects including biology , chemistry and physics at both Sheffield and Manchester Universities. I have lots of experience of teaching Key Stage 3 , GCSE and Alevel pupils in both mainstream and private schools in UK. I have thought Science subjects ( physics , chemistry and biology) to Key Stage 4 and Key stage 5 students , preparing them for GCSE and A levels exams.I always make sure my students have the prior knowledge required to understand a new topic. All of the topics in science subjects are related and just get complicated as the students progress to higher level. So it is essential for students to have a solid prior knowledge for the new topics they are learning. It is also essential to apply pupils knowledge to exam questions all the time to make sure that they know how to use key terminologies and answer those important questions in the exam. The mark schemes is very specific for GCSE and Alevel exams and the students often dont know how to answet the question properly despite having the knowledge .So it is vital that they practise those questions after they gained the knowledge with an experienced teacher to secure a high grade in exams. I practice this with my KS3 students aswell so they get into habit of how to use key terms to answer questions.

I am a student at the University of Manchester pursuing a course in Biochemistry. I went to GEMS Modern Academy in Dubai and ranked 6th in my grade in my finals. I have been mentoring on TutorHouse for more than a year now and have helped many students improve their grades and reach their academic goals. I have also tutored a lot during high school. These mostly included clearing doubts or explaining certain concepts to middle school students. I mostly tutored in subjects like Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry. I am a fun, enthusiastic and patient person who loves pop music, and comedy shows and is committed to the conservation of our environment. I want to become a tutor as I have always wanted to teach and help others who struggle to understand a concept. I want to help students who have an innate will to learn and all they need, to reach their goals, is some extra support and help. I normally begin my classes by asking the student what they want to learn or discuss during the lesson. If they have a doubt about a concept, I ask them to explain the same concept to me in their own words and correct them wherever necessary. I provide some good methods to study or approach a concept they struggle with. I will conclude the lesson by asking them if there is anything they would like to discuss in our next session so that I could prepare some practice questions in advance.

Feel like your schoolteacher is filling your head with useless knowledge without helping you see the wider picture? I can help! My approach to learning is a practical one. Solving real-life problems where Mathematics and Science can be applied is the best way for my students understand the far-reaching impact that Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry has on our planet and beyond. Problem solving allows students at all levels to focus on the methods, theories and skills which form the foundations of the scientific method whilst giving them the practical experience needed to tackle problems outside of academia. At the end of the day, the goal of tuition is to reach and exceed my student's targeted grades. We will focus on how we can attain these grades through applying critical thinking skills to analyse, understand and answer examination questions so that a student can maximise their potential. My teaching style is focused on the understanding of course material and exam technique which has proved extremely successful over the years. Studied Chemistry at Edinburgh University then Imperial College up to PhD level and began tutoring undergraduate students as part of it. Now, I teach A-level Chemistry plus some GCSE/iGCSE, college and university students. As I only tutor Chemistry and 90% of my work is A-level, I know the three syllabuses (AQA, OCR A and Edexcel) and past papers inside out. I also have my own website dedicated to A-level Chemistry and study methods. I have been tutoring Chemistry in Surrey and London, initially part time from 2006-2013 and since 2014, I have been a full time tutor. Every year I have a range of students with different abilities and from different schools. Many want to go on to study Medicine and need an A, and almost all of them will achieve this. Others students are doing okay and looking to improve their grades and some will really be struggling. If the students follow what I recommend and work hard I can guarantee that they will improve and so will their grades. It is just a process, do the right things at the right time and slowly the results will improve. I have examples of students who were failing in their mocks and almost miraculously got an A or B in June. While this is rare, it has happened several times over the past few years. When tutoring I focus on a few things: simplifying concepts and helping the student understand, helping them with self-belief and motivation (many students think Chemistry is impossible or they can’t do exams or they’re not good enough) and constantly looking at study methods and exam technique. The mindset and study methods are vital, in my opinion even more so than the Chemistry. If they get this right, then they will improve, they have to, it's impossible not to! And these skills are transferable to any subject and University. From experience, schools do not help with this at all, they focus only on the subject material. Most students are good enough to get a B or better and often need help seeing this and being shown how to actually get that grade. If they haven't done it before, who are they supposed to know what to do? After doing it once, it becomes a whole lot easier!
