I am a highly experienced tutor of A level (and GCSE) Physics, Chemistry and Maths with an additional specialism in GASMAT, where I have many successful students. I provide support for students preparing for their entrance exams, and for their GCSE and A level exams. I also assist students with their UCAS applications and university interviews. I have a lot of recent experience of teaching GAMSAT students, a specialism of mine. Recently I won a prize as the best new tutor at a tutorial agency, and last academic year my six A level Physics students achieved A*, A*, A*, A*, A* and A respectively. I am a top-rated GAMSAT tutor. My aim is to help my students to reach their full academic potential and get the grades they deserve. I believe in making sure that the underlying fundamental concepts are fully understood as this provides a solid foundation. There is nothing more rewarding than a student saying, "oh yes, now I get it". My tutoring style is to seek to identify the key areas where support is required and then patiently and sympathetically to help and encourage my tutees to master these areas. I have a post-graduate teaching degree and have taught in a number of Schools, Colleges and Universities. I tutor individuals and also groups in schools, sixth form Colleges and Russell group universities. I was a lecturer at Imperial College for 26 years where I was an admissions tutor, senior tutor and postgraduate tutor and became deputy director of the Graduate school. I won the Rectors award for excellence in teaching at Imperial College twice. I have recent experience of tutoring and one to one teaching and also of tutoring in four central London schools, namely the City and Islington college, the Harris academy St Johns Wood, St Saviours and St Olave' school and the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson school, Islington. In my spare time I like to swim, exercise in the gym and kayak. I also love to travel and have lived and worked in Singapore, Sydney, Dallas and on a short placement in the Punjab. I support QPR more in hope than in expectation!

I graduated from Physics Education. I have a degree of BSc. I have been tutoring and teaching physics since then. After graduating university I started to teach Physics in an institute which prepares children for national university entrance exams and secondary schools entrance exam. I both taught in the class and tutor during this period. I had students from the age of 12 to 19. That period taught me the needs of students who prepare for the exams. After this institution I worked at three schools which are all IB(International Baccalaureate) schools as IB Physics teacher. At these schools I taught IGCSE topics for pre IB classes as well. I worked as IB coordinator assistant in one of the schools. Since I have started to work at schools I have had students who study for international exams such as SAT, IB. I have also mastered A-Level topics. I have lots of students who study or work all around the world. For example One of my students made me her idol and became a physics teacher. And this year she was accepted to Nanotechnology post graduate program in Germany. I am proud of her. All of my IB students were accepted different universities in Europe and USA with their predicted grades last year. Everyone has different learning style. First 2 or 3 lessons I will discover your learning style. Then I’ll teach you according to your learning style. Some people need details. Some want to learn shortcuts. Others need proof. To conclude I differentiate the lesson according to your needs. I’ll lead you with the help of my experience. I am both genial and patient person. These characteristics are really important while teaching. Because students should feel comforted to ask the things that they do not understand.

I am an undergraduate student at the Queen Mary University of London studying Maths, econ, politics and International relations. I have been teaching students for the past 3 years and can teach all levels however my expertise for GCSE is Maths, Accounts, History, Economics and Physics and for A levels its Accounts, Economics and History. I am an extremely tolerant person and never mind too many questions, a student can ask me the same question 100 times if cant understands and I will answer it every time with the same level of patience. I have taught O levels students before and have a substantial amount of experience and passed my GCSE's and A levels with good respectable grades and therefore contain in-depth knowledge of my subjects. More importantly, I love teaching.

I am currently in the fourth year of my PhD in pure mathematics at the London School of Geometry and Number Theory (Imperial, UCL, and King's). Before that, I was an undergraduate at the University of Queensland, Australia, where I earned a Bachelor of Science with Honours Class I with an extended major in Mathematics. I also have a Diploma of Languages majoring in German, and spent a year of my undergraduate degree studying in Munich. As an undergraduate, I gained a variety of experience from both private tutoring and teaching in university environments for students ranging from high school to undergraduate level. Before I began university I did a gap year working for a prep school in Surrey, where I primarily helped students between the ages of 8 and 13 who were struggling in class and/ or being disruptive. I also helped prepare students for the 11 and 13+ exams. I believe that mathematics is an under-appreciated discipline, and I have a passion for teaching maths in an intuitive and relatable way that applies real-world examples. I have ample experience in communicating complicated ideas to students of all abilities and in guiding students to their own understanding.

Currently pursuing my phD in hydrodynamics (2nd year). Having taught before as a private tutor as well as taking part in teaching activities (Labs and tutorials) to undergraduate students at the university have helped me to develop my teaching skills. During my time of teaching at the university, I always provided the students the support to achieve the aim of the task. This would involve offering them a one to one chance to meet me after the lessons if they had questions about the assignment. Moreover, I am constantly looking for ways to develop my skills in my teaching style through various ways such as attending educational courses. I have always put the needs of the students in perspective throughout my teaching career and have structured the lessons based on the individual needs of the student. Additionally, active involvement is always the aim, to provide a deep level of learning throughout the session. This ensures that the students are encouraged to improve and makes the session more dynamic and enjoyable.

Hello! My name is Abdullah, I am an experienced tutor who really enjoys tutoring, and I am always willing to go the extra mile to make sure my students are getting the most out of it. I have both a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree (in Physics and Advanced Mechanical Engineering, respectively, both from the University of Warwick.) I have a strong tutoring background, with experience in supporting groups of tutees, as well as one-to-one: while studying at university, I tutored at a maths and English tuition centre, where I tutored and supported children of all ages and abilities, including those with learning disabilities. I strongly relate to the pressure placed on students, of all ages, and I can identify with each student, regardless of their level. As someone who started from a low level, with only a basic grasp of the language, I have improved at each stage. I believe improvement is always possible, and having taught myself much of the gaps in my education, I can prove to be relatable to struggling students and will always provide encouragement, support, and passionate tutoring.

Hi there! I have a MSc in theoretical physics at Imperial College. I graduated from the University of Bath in 2015 with a first class degree in Physics, and spent a year on placement working at a Laser facility in Oxford as part of my degree. Whilst undertaking my postgraduate studies I'm residing at my family home in St Johns Wood and am willing to travel far and wide to reach a wide range of tutees. I grew up in London and attended Highgate School and UCS where I achieved 9 A/A* grades at GCSE and A-levels in Physics (A), Maths (A), and Economics (B). Whilst attending school I received some personal tuition, which was a great help and took vast amounts of pressure from my shoulders; allowing me to pursue extra-curricular activities. This was extraordinarily beneficial when it came to applying to University, and provided a solid base for me to chase my academic dream. In my leisure time I like to spend time broadening my knowledge outside of physics, taking a keen interest in philosophy and literature; utilising the Imperial’s substantial offline and online resources to accommodate my interest. In my year off between secondary education and University, I traveled to China for two months to study Kung-Fu. Before heading out to the far east, I took a beginners course in mandarin so I could communicate with the locals, to make the experience more fulfilling and enjoyable. Although Physics is one of my main interests and the topic of discussion in most scenarios of my day-to-day life, I feel it is important to find some separation and pursue other areas of interest. Before damaging both my knees, a few years ago I formed a Sunday league football team with a few old friends that I help run. I am a keen film fan, an avid follower of the comedy circuit, and somewhat of a home chef. Whilst studying in Bath I volunteered for a programme called 'Lab in a Lorry', an organisation I found through the university. They tour the country in a large mobile unit kitted-out with several experiments and interactive demonstrations to bring science and mathematics to pre-GCSE children with the aim of peaking their interest. It is a joint venture of the Institute of Physics and the Schlumberger Foundation. I was able to volunteer several times and was privileged to be able to teach a wide range of age groups, which was vital experience for me as a soft introduction to teaching. During my time teaching I ran several practical demonstrations for the kids ranging from an introduction to fibre optics and their use in modern medicine and surgery, to an insight into polarisation of electromagnetic radiation and how it alters how we see our Sun. These experiences were extremely fulfilling, and encouraged me to become a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) ambassador whilst on placement in Oxford. This involved running several outreach programmes at local (and not so local) schools, with the intention of making science fun and more relevant to young children. Myself, accompanied by several other placement students, exposed scientific thinking and novel ideas to children of ages 6 to 12. Some of these activities included: telescopic observation of the moon, an insight into the specific electromagnetic dependent appearance of galaxies, the formation of stars and other stellar activities, as well as several other aeronautic and space based demos. I began giving private tuition in 2015 and have expanded my client base tenfold since starting out. My students have seen vast improvement under my supervision, with an average grade jump of over two grade boundaries. I have taught students from GCSE level all the way up to final year university students. The structure of my lessons is as follows: I will dedicate a third to one half of the allotted time to an overview of the method or theory that is to be covered in the session. The time dependence directly related to the difficulty and complexity of the subject at hand. This subset of time will be filled by an interactive slideshow covering the topic and basic examples of applications to everyday life. After this, I will introduce a few simpler example questions, that I will run through with my student in detail before handing the reigns over to them to answer multiple exam-style questions; for which I will give hints and review the necessary material before going through the method of the marker. This is a tried and tested successful technique. Upon approach of the examination period, the tutoring sessions will change to entirely question and answer based conditioning exercises. These will be example questions taken from previous papers and my personal stash of textbooks and notes. This method of teaching has worked extremely well with me over the last 10 years, and also with my previous tutees; and I have full faith that it will do wonders for future students too.

I am an experienced tutor with nine years of tutoring experience and just left my position working as secondary school Physics teacher to pursue full time tutoring. I have taught maths, chemistry and physics to A-level and biology up to GCSE. I am available during weekday evenings and weekends. I am a patient teacher who has worked with children of varying abilities with the objective of giving them the confidence to apply themselves to subjects which they may have found difficult in the past. I have been a private tutor for more than 25 years. I have tutored hundreds of students ranging from age 11 to 22 in one-to-one and in schools. Physics and Maths are the main topics I teach. I have prepared my students for the toughest exams and help them get in the best universities. I taught in one of the best private schools in Turkey, American Collegiate Institute and worked as a teaching and research assistant in the renown technical university, Izmir Institute of Technology. I have Bachelor in Physics Education and Master in Physics. I also have a Bachelor in American Culture and Literature. I have several published articles in Physics. I was awarded with a High Honors Degree from Faculty of Letters. All these years of teaching and being a student myself brought me to a conclusion; - There is no student who can't learn - There are different specialized learning techniques suited for each student - The most valuable is to learn how you learn - The best way to learn is to have a comprehensive and integrated understanding of the topics - Relaxed and engaging atmosphere is essential when learning - Creating enthusiasm and curiosity is the key - Private tutoring when used effectively can boost performance immensely My main goal is to equip students with methods of asking questions and key skills so they can independently continue to learn without my presence. In my lessons I ensure to; - Give the full content needed for exams - Solve practice questions - Keep track of the progress - Provide further assistance and consultation free of charge if needed I am quite flexible in times I can teach so message me and we can arrange a meeting. Thanks Mert
