I am a very experienced teacher and have been particularly successful with students who face an additional challenge. I have been a teacher in primary schools where I had additional responsibility for improving reading and also improving the levels of year 6 writers. I am also experienced in secondary teaching - mainstream, challenged students and tutoring. I have taught a range of subjects across the curriculum. Overall I am particularly skilled in both teaching reading and challenging students. I have become experienced in outdoor learning. I managed a provision called farm school where students were involved in animal care, gardening and practical fieldwork in geography and science. We also included a range of art activities based on the environment simultaneously developing art skills in students. All learning took place outdoors and enabled students to develop a more relaxed and positive attitude toward learning. A percentage of our curriculum was developed to improve student's experiences and self-confidence. My timetable had regular enrichment activities to geographical or historical locations stimulating maths and English activities. We also had practical cooking sessions to explore and develop skills and support other areas of the curriculum. We also timetabled mindfulness and sport regularly to better support some of our anxious students. As I have been the head of 3 alternative provisions I have taught a range of subjects and also accessed a range of training to enable me to be more specialized in teaching and to meet students needs. I have recently been teaching GCSE maths and English, art and child care. I have also taught Food Tech but less intensively. Recently, I was appointed by a primary school, which was very interesting, to teach higher level literacy groups, who were more able students and a year 6 literacy class. I was also working with an NQT and in early years to support in the classroom. Despite teaching for over 35 years I have 3 very sporty grown-up children and enjoy gardening and travelling. I have been a football club manager for Harpenden Ladies U12 for 3 seasons and also supported at Brownie camp.
I am a graduate from Universita' degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro. The subjects that I chose to study were English, German, French. I am completely fluent in English and have lived in the UK. I have been teaching English for an Italian Private School and giving private lessons for just under a year now, having taught many pupils. I have experience tutoring both on a one-to one-basis and also in group environment. I am currently attending a Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) course. I engage students in the material by using examples, contexts and real conversations. As an Italian native speaker, I am perfectly fluent. Furthermore, I attended the Grammar High School, which is why I know Italian grammar perfectly. I believe that this gives me an advantage over those who have not grown up in Italy as I know inside-out both the culture and the grammar.

I was educated in the private system, and with two Head-teachers for parents, the importance of tailoring education to the individual has been a central theme. Having understood the key objectives of the child and family, I concentrate on establishing a rapport with the student, whilst using some initial broad assessments to gain an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses. I am also interested to discover, where possible, learning preferences in order to tailor the approach and content to an individual’s needs. This learner-centered approach aims to build confidence through small purposeful steps. Ultimately, an interesting, varied and engaging atmosphere is most conducive to learning, so I always try to make tutoring sessions an enjoyable experience.
I аm а dоuble grаduаte аnd аm аvаilаble tо tutor in the evenings Monday to Thursday and anytime on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. I hаve been tutoring regulаrly for the past 2 years in the West Midlands; both home and online tuition as well at tuition centres. I have experience of tutoring 11+, English, Maths and Science up to GCSE level. I also have experience of tutoring Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Law up to A Level. I have helped several students achieve tоp grаdes and secure admission into Grammar Schools. I hаve аn interactive and “to the point” approach tо tutoring and learning which makes each lesson interesting and easier to “digest” while maintaining the academic focus and saving time for my students. I am highly organized and have been very successful at helping my students with careful and systematic planning during stressful exam periods. The services I could offer include the following:- • explaining academic concepts to the tutees using simple, every day language and relating it to its application in the real world. • helping with exam preparation - working through past examination papers to demonstrate exam techniques. • formulating revision schedules to align the learning according to the tutee's ability by instilling a structured, “step by step” approach to learning.
I completed my MSc in Business Analysis and Consultancy staying true to my desire of an early age to impact knowledge to others (Businesses or Individuals). I have been tutoring for coming up to two years, with a specific joy teaching Maths and English to individuals up until GCSE level. I have been able to master my craft by tailoring my teaching style to suit the individual needs of every student and understanding their learning style. My ability to do this has found me in a place where my students grow in confidence and ability to do the things they once thought they couldn't - a feeling that cannot be contended with. English, Maths and Business studies are all subjects that I have excelled in throughout the time i have spent in education and as a result of this has made me a point of reference when help is required by close friends and relatives. I currently work in a school helping KS2 & KS3 students with Maths and English.
I was born in Manchester, England, and attended school there. Afterwards I gained a B.A. in Russian and French at Oxford University. I have recently completed a Graduate Diploma in Law. In the past 8 years I have worked as a private tutor in Moscow, Paris, Oxford and London. Many of my clients are aged 5-18, and some do not speak English as their first language. My ability to speak fluent Russian and French, along with my neutral English accent, ensure communication is clear with parents and students alike. The majority of clients wish to improve their English, but I have also provided specialist exam tuition across many subjects. Between March and May 2016, for example, I worked with a Russian-born student whose Science grades jumped from CCC in IGCSE mocks to AAB in his real IGCSE exams. In addition, I have prepared clients for IELTS, entrance exams (including 11+ and Common Entrance), school or university interviews, and helped improve personal statements and UCAS applications. If you would like to know more, then please do get in touch and I will be happy to discuss further.
Qualified Teacher and Enthusiastic Tutor I tailor my tutoring to the individual student's needs to make sure they understand concepts clearly. As a qualified teacher, I use the exam criteria and exam boards guidance to ensure pupils are prepared for their exams. Using a range of different learning styles, I encourage a love for learning in my students. Fully DBS checked, I work in a tutoring charity which means I have the most updated resources to provide successful tuition. Alongside tutoring, I am a Programme and Training Manager for a tutoring charity. I have just finished completing a Masters in Leadership at University College London and prior to this I was a Religious Studies and Philosophy teacher at a Secondary school in North London. I have lots of experience working with children with a range of needs and I aim to teach time management skills, communication and problem solving skills whilst tutoring.
My name is Marie. My tutoring style is, fun, effective, and productive. My teaching methods and styles are tailor made according to learning styles, stengths and weaknesses, and desired outcomes. I am a warm lively friendly and patient and I believe in working smarter rather than harder! I am a qualified further education teacher having had completed my teacher training stages 1 & 2 whilst teaching music business at a music college. I later went on to developing international music marketing training programmes for urban artists and producers. I gained all my special needs skills and training whilst working as a support worker in Birmingham. I am now in the process of opening my own female security training school. I have decided to tutor part time simply to help and support others with the stress and pressure of preparing for various types of study situations, or those who simply need to learn. My specialism is working with anxiety, stress, nerves, and tight deadline or high pressure situations (such as resits, concessions, etc). My tutoring subjects are according to my certified subjects of Law, Business & I.T. and any related subjects. My area of specialism is Law Tutoring, especially for exams. I gained this `knack` by having to sit all of my LLB exams back to back in the same week as in post graduate GDL style. Due to personal circumstances I have had to sit and pass my 1st 2 years in this manner, proof in the pudding being having made it to my final year after a year out. Due to my time with the Open University, I am also extremely experienced in the issues that arise from distance learning, especially the panic of falling behind and tight deadlines. My speciality in tutoring is exam stress, organisation, and revision especially within tight deadlines. I am very patient and understanding with issues such as anxiety, learning blocks, etc. I am experienced with schemes of work, lesson plans, and I have experience in further education teaching.
I'm currently in my fourth year reading Medicine at University College London (UCL). Having achieved a 1st class honours award in Medical Sciences with Immunology, Infection and Cell Pathology last year along with a certificate of distinction for my examination results, I aim to pass on my excitement and passion to anyone I teach. I specialise in Maths, Chemistry and Biology; GCSE, A-Level and Pre-U. As an academic prefect and debating president at Marlborough College, I tutored primary school students debating skills and encouraged them to start developing the skill of critical thinking. On a less formal setting I tutored younger students in my boarding house in subjects such as Maths, Geography and the Sciences. At UCL I have been a mentor for first year students, helping them not only in challenging parts of the Medicine course, but also looking after them in a pastoral setting. On top of this I am also a member of the Medical Society committee in charge of organising a mock clinical exam (mOCAPE). This entailed organising mock clinical stations for over 150 students, as well as examining some of these students and then giving them feedback and tutoring on how they can improve. My 12 A*s at GCSE point to my ability to teach most subjects, especially those where exam technique is key in achieving first class results. As a medic I naturally have a particular passion for Biology and the Sciences, along with Mathematics (I am currently undergoing a Mathematics course within my degree). Complementing this, I have excelled in medical entrance exams (BMAT and UKCAT) and medical interviews, plus I can offer tailored UCAS advice for any subject.
