I have been working with young people for 4 years now and have gained a well rounded portfolio of experience. I have been grateful to receive wonderful feedback from students, parents and colleagues! I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol with a BSc in psychology & philosophy. I worked at a TEFL Language school where I designed a cultural programme for students and was the chief point of contact as a mentor. Additionally, I worked in the SEN department at a London secondary school supporting students with all Key Stages including A Level & IB. I have worked with students who have aspergers, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, sight-impairment and physical disability’s. A few examples of previous tutoring jobs: - Mentored a teenager over an 8 month period. - Tutored full time for the past 3 years as a subject generalist with an emphasis on the arts and humanities subjects. I have taught the core KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 syllabuses. Covering all subjects such as art, philosophy, psychology, history, english literature & language, maths, chemistry, biology, physics. I have also done A level and IB tuition for subjects such as history, philosophy, english, art and psychology. - I have worked full time as a home school tutor teaching the core subjects, arts & humanities for ages 5, 7, 9, 11 & 14. - I homeschooled two brothers from a high profile family and prepared them for the English curriculum (from the American system). I taught english literature & language , R.E, art, politics and current affairs, textiles and took them on educational excursions. They also had to pass school entrance exams 11+, 13+, both successfully. - I homeschooled two sisters ages 7 & 9 and taught all the core subjects as well the arts and humanities. I prepared the youngest for her 7 + exams which she successfully passed. My students have gone on to excel in many subjects but especially creative writing and critical thinking. One student of mine was refusing to write at his previous school but after a year of working together he gained entrance to a top London school and is now currently the top of his class for English and is particularly confident with his creative writing. Another student of mine has gone on to win poetry competitions. My teaching style is engaging, innovative and supportive. I try to instill confidence and academic curiosity in my students, as I believe this is equally important to achieving top marks. * Fun fact about me: I paint professionally and pursue writing when I’m not tutoring. I am now keen to take on more students and would love the opportunity to work with you! Once we have been in touch and established something my response time will be very rapid. However because I am very busy it might initially take a little longer to respond so I'm sorry for that! Should be worth the wait though.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic teacher having trained in the creative arts at London’s Central St Martins and The Beaux Arts in Paris and as a teacher at UCL’s Institute of Education. I believe that the tutelage offered to every new student is as unique as a fingerprint and I work hard with my students to help them achieve their goals. As a qualified teacher for the past 6 years and acting head of department for the past 2 years I have been helping students between KS2 and post 18 to achieve success in their GCSE, A-level, BTEC and HND qualifications in Art, Textiles and functional skills maths and English. Having done this and facilitated a large number of successful university applications to prestigious UK and international arts universities for several years in London and internationally I am looking forward to supporting other students to do the same. I have worked extensively with students of all abilities, supporting the achievement of gifted and talented students and those with learning and physical impairments to achieve their greatest success. As a class teacher I have always used one-to-one tutorials to support student success tutoring both inside and privately outside school. I feel that the Arts are uniquely positioned to be personalised and I believe that the best way of enabling student success is to engage them in a personal enjoyment of the subject by providing an bespoke programme. I look forward to offering further opportunities to engage students in the arts in the near future.

I have over 10 years tutoring experience in Philosophy, English, Russian, Art History, Chess, CAD software and Art. I am a fluent Russian speaker and would be happy to guide Russian parents through the English education system and offer advice on their chosen schools/universities. It can sometimes feel overwhelming when there are so many hurdles to climb, but I can help you take some of that pressure off and help your child succeed in his or her chosen path! My approach is enthusiastic and directed at identifying areas of improvement to achieve higher exam scores and success in interview preparation. I know how hard it can be applying to top schools and universities, and I am happy to guide you through the process and build your confidence and exam technique to achieve the grades you need to progress to your chosen school. I have a degree in Philosophy from University College London and am currently studying for a Masters at Royal College of Art. I studied at St Paul's Girls' School and am available for preparing students for entrance exams and with GCSE and A-Level prep. I have taught at The Harrodian School and have a current teaching post at Westminster University. Prior to this I worked in the City in investor relations and PR and have good experience with interview preparation and CV writing.

I have ten years private tutoring experience and love to teach. Furthermore, I have held a position as teacher of Philosophy and Religious Studies at an excellent sixth form college in Notting Hill and my students have consistently achieved exceptional results. I am a skilled online tutor and work with a wide range of students to ensure they maintain cognitive abilities, make use of the current time to fill gaps in knowledge and deepen their grasp on their studies. Alongside tutoring/teaching, I am working on research into the Philosophy of Mind. My interests extend broadly through Sociology, Literature, Theology and World Religions, Music as well as a great many other things. I'm an excellent listener, empathetic, patient and motivated to cater towards each individual. Furthermore, I'm passionate about learning and knowledge, as well as about the diverse ways to learn and the different directions a subject can be approached from. I believe my suitability for tutoring is much enriched by this, and by my realisation that everything is fun and interesting. My experience successfully tutoring individuals to an extremely high standard has led me to grow and develop my skills as a practical, reliable and exuberant guide. As someone of many interests and capabilities, I offer a comprehensive body of knowledge of subjects, as well as a sensitive, analytical and transformative teaching method. Do contact me, I would love to help.

I have tutored students in History of Art, Italian (both language and literature) English and History for more than 5 years. I really enjoy tutoring and helping students to deepen their understanding of the subjects (especially history of art) they need to study. I am a communicative and adaptable person who believes that the more enjoyable the lesson is, the more students learn. Visual materials and interactive exercises are an essential part of my teaching method. Furthermore, I also tutor adults who have problem with their English or just want to learn Italian.

I have been tutoring since I graduated Sixth Form and moved to Brighton for University, and have always enjoyed imparting knowledge onto others and help them do as much as possible to reach their goals. I am currently tutoring for numerous agencies as I find the job so rewarding and fun that I can not get enough! I am warm, fun and very hard working, meaning I will be able to engage students of all abilities and do my best to work in a way that suits their needs and preferences. I am mainly humanities - including singing or art tutoring sessions - based due to my degree and A Level specifications, but I am able to tutor in Maths or Sciences if required to do so. If you have any questions you would like answered please do reach out!

Multi-award winning artist and film-maker who has shown work in The Tate, Parliament and British Film Institute. I was artist in residence for the 60th birthday of the ICA (Institute of Contemporary Arts in London). My work has been featured on Channel 4 News, on the BBC and in The Observer. I am a freelance tutor for the University of the Arts London and sometimes sit on the admissions panels for the BA so I can really advise and assist in making a knockout application for the entrance selection and interview for art school. It's an absolute joy for me to see the student's own artistic voice developing- and to massively amplify that voice by imparting a strong foundation in drawing technique. Learning about mark-making, composition and materials and making the lessons really exciting by exploring inspirational Great Masters like Matisse, Picasso, Beuys and contemporary artists from many different traditions and countries .

I studied at London Metropolitan university with a BA in Graphic Design. I have a 2.1 for my degree. I have taught a few students before as I worked for Tutorful. I had some good reviews on that service and now I am hoping to find a Tutoring job as that's my passion and inspiration. Also, I enjoy working with students, especially when I combine my creative skills digitally. I can teach students Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In Design and Adobe Illustrator. I also work part time as a Graphic Designer which is my other side of my career. I have worked for different places such as I have worked for 3 Graphic Design companies such as the Yiewsley Cornerstone Centre, TES Youth and the London Basketball Association. My passion comes from Liberty Designers and Contemporary designers such as Mark Wigan, Millie Morrotta and the eldest creative person William Morris. The art work which I usually produce is Life Drawing designs, Pattern work, Textiles and digital methods where the drawings can be converted into digital designs such as flyers, business cards, logos, banners, brochures and letterheads. I also draw objects, people, nature designs and patterns. I also visit galleries every week, I visit the V&A and the Tate Modern to get further experience.

I started my education career as a learning mentor in 2009 after having completed my degree in Chester in a Fine Art and French. After this, I then went on to volunteer in local primary schools eventually completing a PGCE in Exeter. Since then I have taught at schools in Devon, Stockport and Manchester working across KS2 primarily- working as a classroom teacher, French specialist teacher, PPA teacher and Art specialist teacher. I now tutor adults and children full time! I am a Fine Art, French and English Language specialist having both tutored these subjects to both children and adults. I exhibit and sell around the Manchester area I have knowledge of the 11+ exams and have current active experience of tutoring English and Maths. I believe in a question led approach to tutoring where the student takes on an active role in their learning. Being a visual and kin-aesthetic ( learn by doing) learner myself, I believe that promoting subjects using a variety of methods is immersive and engaging. I am a firm believer that it doesn't matter how quickly or slowly a person makes progress as long as they are not encouraged to stop! I like to personalize the learning experience for all.

In my teaching practise I introduce and cover all aspects of contextual study, historic and contemporary to inspire the design process along with practical skills to help extend knowledge and develop design awareness from initial recording of research, experimental drawing for art and design and fashion and textiles. This includes experimental drawing and mark making, fabric manipulation, artists research, composition, mood boards, encouraging the use of varying medium to inspire and develop personal style. I encourage students to experiment in their sketchbook to create a narrative that will support final outcomes for assessed work. I have substantial experience of project and curriculum development and delivery in KS4 and 5. Are you thinking about getting an Art A-Level tutor?

Art A-level is certainly a step up from Art at GCSE, although coursework is again based on a sketchbook you get to experiment with more materials and techniques at A-level. Students get to explore different styles of art from pop art, line art, modern art, and much more. Most students experiment with creating artworks on a larger scale, creating giant portraits, or creating elaborate sculptures. Your pieces are expected to be well researched and annotated with your thought process detailing how you progressed from idea to the creation of your final piece. Art A-level is an extremely time-consuming subject, therefore it is key that you are prepared and organised to balance your workload against time spent on your other A-level subjects. It is therefore important that you get the educational support you need to thrive at both AS and A2 levels. There is quite a jump from Art GCSE to A-level and an even further leap from there to university. Booking an Art tutor with Tutor House can smooth the way between these educational steps and help you achieve the results you need to succeed. Investing in an Art tutor is the best way to help you get the results you both need and want at A-level. As the job market becomes even more competitive and universities are steadily raising the conditions for entry, top results are more important than ever. Don't compromise on your education and settle for a lesser university or a course you don’t love simply because the grade expectations are lower. Make sure you push yourself at this final stage of your school education and get the tuition support you need to succeed in your A-level Art. With our personalised and tailored approach, our tutors are ready and able to help you achieve the highest results possible. We recommend finding a tutor 9-12 months before your first exams. Once booked our tutors will talk you through your learning process and make sure you are well prepared ahead of the submission of your final piece. With our personalised and tailored approach, our tutors are ready and able to help you achieve the highest result possible. Top grades do open doors whether that be into high ranking universities, traineeships, internships, or apprenticeships. Don’t let someone else get the upper hand on a place that you want simply because they have higher grades than you. So why not explore the amazing selection of Art A-level tutors we have to offer today.
