I Began studying music at the age of 8, I’ve started first with classical music achieving a Piano Bachelor with the highest marks of the session. During my studies besides Classical Music I've been focusing my interest and enthusiasm on jazz music. Until today I've worked as Classical and jazz Pianist, composer and session musician in Europe, USA and UK. I’ve always been teaching privately classical and jazz music, Theory, Harmony, composition and improvisation. I’ve started teaching to my students my own idea of music and my personal approach with the instrument, trying always to encourage and stimulate their own musical unicity as I have done and I still do with myself. I believe that any teacher must have a specific approach with students in order to analyse, investigate, focus and then just guide their personal attitude for the music. I believe that everyone has this attitude. It’s in our decision, desire, willingness and passion to find it in order to express without any type of constriction.

I have taught through the pop and rock guitar syllabus from grades 1-8 and enjoy encouraging students to craft their own style. I specialise in the blues/rock/jazz styles and am an experienced session musician having worked in a number of studios including Abbey Road. I am also a keen writer and like to encourage creativity in a student, having specialised in improvisation whilst I studied a Bachelor of Music at Goldsmiths University. I have also worked with Wolverhampton council, assisting and leading pop and rock workshops with ZIP Rock music. Teaching a summer school workshop over a number of months between 2015-2016. This taught me the skills to work with groups of students, working on their abilities to play a perform together. I'm friendly and easy to get along with. I have been working with students, teaching music and English for over three years. I love helping a student progress and work towards their own personal goals. This is at the centre of my teaching style, making the lessons as much about the student as possible. Alongside this I gig regularly and play in a number of bands. This is my passion and something I always hope to pass on to students, encouraging them to go out into the world and play music!

Well trained and busy tutor. Good role model and punctual I teach all Piano grades from 1 - 8 using both the Trinity and ABRSM syllabus. I also teach theory at all grades. I have taught many students of all ages and can travel to anywhere in London. My highest Grade pass is Grade 8 Piano ABRSM. I also taught a student that achieved 93% in his Grade 5 Trinity Piano exam. I am a highly qualified and experienced Pianist. I received Bachelor and Masters degrees from the Royal College of Music. I am a choir trainer and choir master. I am also punctual and extremely reliable. I have learned a very wide variety of Piano music, I also have played at church for many years and have played 100s of hymns and church anthems on Piano and Organ. My teaching strength is on Classical music, especially music of the 17th and 18th centuries. I can teach Jazz as well, I played a 2 hour concert of just Jazz with one of the choirs have accompanied in July 2017. My teaching style is friendly and I like to make sure the student is enjoying the lessons as much as possible. I also pay great attention to detail and encourage my students to as well. Review written by Patricia Alleyne: Amazing and Supportive Teacher The title reflects my 12 year old's verdict of Anthony. Having nearly succumbed to my son's fading interest in four years of piano lessons, Anthony has reignited his interest with great fervour. I have never seen my son spend so much time practising for the next lesson and he now wants to pursue music. Thank you Anthony. We will stay with Anthony as long as he is available.

I have recently graduated from Durham University with first class honours in Chemistry. Throughout my school career and university, I have had a passion for science and mathematics. At school I belonged to the Chemistry Society, which probed topics beyond the A level syllabus. This allowed me to strengthen my understanding of Chemistry and fuel my excitement to study the subject at university. During university I developed a strong interest in Organic Chemistry and oncology, which encouraged me to focus my dissertation on organic fluorinated reagents used to inhibit the proliferation of cancerous cells. Outside of Chemistry I enjoy playing the piano and learning new compositions from some of my favourite composers. During my three years at Durham University I have tutored individuals and small groups A-level Chemistry & Mathematics across AQA, EdExcel and OCR exam boards. I believe in order to achieve the desired result, it is crucial to underpin the fundamental concepts of what you are studying. With a strong foundation, you can explore more complex ideas and extend your understanding. When it comes to chemistry and mathematics, capitalising on the core concepts is crucial to applying yourself in exam situations and successfully obtaining those extra marks. My lessons will focus on building that strong foundation and subsequently targeting exam technique and applications.

Hi, I am a fourth-year medical student at the University College London and I recently completed an intercalated BSc in Medical Sciences with Medical Anthropology. I have a strong background in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, and have a deep understanding of the medical school application process. Having taken Philosophy at AS Level and Medical Anthropology as an intercalated BSc, I hold a solid foundation in essay writing and critical thinking. In my second and third years of university, I worked as a Target Medicine mentor, mentoring A Level students from disadvantaged backgrounds on their medical school applications. Topics covered included UKCat, BMAT, personal statement writing and mock interview preparation. I ensured that my mentees understood how to work tactically in order to achieve the required A Level results and how to aim for desired outcomes whilst maintaining realistic expectations. When students approached me with queries in person or via email, I enjoyed being very meticulous and encouraging with the advice that I offered in order that they felt supported during their most stressful times at school. I have experience teaching English as a foreign language to a range of age groups. A few years ago, I spent several months in Hong Kong tutoring English to primary school children on a one-to-one or group basis. I also assisted with the provision of recreational activities as I recognised the importance of making learning an enjoyable experience. Later, I taught English to international students through a Church programme and to elderly people at a Chinese elderly centre in Manchester. I have volunteered with disabled high school students as an activity leader with KEEN London and provided support to residents diagnosed with moderate to severe mental health problems at various charities such as the Single Homeless Project and Olallo House. Music is a passion of mine; I attended the junior department of the Royal Northern College of Music during high school and achieved Grade 8 in both the piano and the violin at the age of 14. I am a very enthusiastic teacher and enjoy sharing my interest with others. Thank you for reading this and I hope to hear from you soon!

I am currently tutoring the children of high profile families here in Qatar. I have enjoyed working with children of all ages and helping them to make progress. I pride myself as being patient, enthusiastic, dedicated and I have a good understanding of the needs and abilities of the students that I have taught both here in Qatar and in the UK. I would describe myself as a warm, fun loving and hardworking individual, organized and professional with a wealth of educational experience that I could apply to the role of Tutor. I started to work with children in 1997 when I worked for the County Music Service in Cumbria. I gained work at Dallam High School in addition to several other schools and the Dallam suggested that I teach in the classroom. I pursued a PGCE at Edgehill University and successfully qualified in 2010. I then left the UK to join my husband in Qatar. I worked at Gulf English School for five years in key stage 1,2,3 and 4 as a specialist teacher and was promoted to music co-ordinator with a department of three teachers following a British curriculum. After this post I gained employment at the International School of London on a part time basis, teaching cover work (English, maths) and specialist subjects to an IB curriculum. I am currently working as a private tutor and I enjoy working with my students and helping them with their homework in maths, English and science. I tutor the son of the CEO of Qatar National bank and the niece of the Emir of Qatar, the Royal family. In addition to my degree and PGCE I have an extensive musical background which could nurture any child’s interest and ability in music; I also have vast experience of special educational needs understanding (my son is 19 years of age and is Autistic with Aspergers). I enjoy teaching and I can offer a vibrant, friendly and nurturing personality that would be a perfect fit for young students. I am highly experienced and enjoy the one to one flexibility of this type of role. Children can so easily be lost amidst a system of education; I can offer a personal and empathetic emphasis to the role of tutor, having taught ESL and EAL students for the last eight years here in Qatar.

Hi, I'm Coco! I'm British but I was born in France and lived there up until my French baccalaureate which I passed with a Distinction. I then studied a four-year Bachelor degree in Spanish and History of Art at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland where I graduated with a High 2:1 and distinction in spoken Spanish. I am a very enthusiastic and positive person and I love to communicate with people! I've been teaching English, French and Spanish for the past five years. I tutor in person in cafés or at students' homes but also online to students that live further away and even abroad. Whether online or in person my students' ages vary between the age of 6 and 55. Online tutoring is incredibly rewarding for students: I have found students gain confidence quicker because it can be less intimidating than face-to-face lessons and nothing is actually different from face-to-face classes (if anything, online tutoring is more practical for teaching too) with interactive exercises and lessons as well as reading, listening and conversation exercises. My teaching methods are as follows: My classes are varied with exercises such as conversation, comprehension, pronunciation, grammar using various supports (concise and clear grammar lessons, newspaper articles, videos, exam exercises) that allow students to never get bored nor see time go by. All exercises vary depending on the student. I like to think that my students don't see our classes as a chore but rather as an hour that is fun and goes by very quickly and it is important to me that students notice their progress after each lesson. I would love to help you progress in English, French or Spanish. Feel free to get in touch for a chat if you are interested!
