I am a published writer/poet and also run a successful small publishing press, focusing on writing in the experimental calibre. My experience tutoring began working with a fifteen year old girl a 4 years ago who was struggling with social anxiety and panic disorder. She was unable to go to school and I stepped in to help her pass her GCSEs. The whole experience shaped how I could help influence the student in an engaging and sensitive way, and inspire them to enjoy developing their knowledge. Hi I'm Emily and I've tutored English language and literature for just over 3 years now, as well as Religious Studies and Philosophy. These subjects have always been a passion of mine and I love teaching others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and theories. I also help with personal statements and love to help students through the university application process as I know how daunting it can be. Sometimes all it takes is another pair of eyes to have a look! I am a graduate from Trinity College, Cambridge, having achieved my Bachelors degree in History (2:1). I am an art historian who loves teaching people of all ages and abilities. I have worked as a researcher and educator in international art galleries in Mayfair and Zurich, and have taught BA students at the University of Zurich. Currently based in London, I am working towards my PhD in History of Art at the University of Zurich and KU Linz, where I have also taught. As well as expertise is in Asian and Western art since 1960, I have a very broad and robust knowledge of all periods of History of Art as taught in the United Kingdom.
