A level/ IB SL/HL in Biology, Chemistry & Maths 2. GCSE: Maths, English (Literature & Language), Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Religious Studies 3. 9+/11+/13+/ISEB exam prep 4. I am an engaging and proactive personal tutor with 12 years of experience in tutoring English, Drama, and Creative Writing. I work with GCSE, A-Level and undergraduate students, predominantly on their English Literature studies I adapt every session to the specific needs of the student and ensure that each lesson is successful in obtaining their personal goals. In Literature tuition, we will focus on analytical skills and essay writing (considering structure, context, and critical analysis). We will also compile a revision portfolio, which greatly aids the student when preparing for their exams, allowing them to review their work in a clear, compartmentalized, and accessible manner. For many years, I worked as a school tutor with students from year 2 to year 13. This has provided me with a strong and comprehensive understanding of academic demands and the school curriculum. Additionally, I have experience teaching KS1 and KS2 subjects and have extensive experience working with SEN students. I hold a Masters Degree in Creative Writing and have led many writer's workshops for young people. I run a theatre company in London and have taught workshops and classes with drama students, varying in age from 9 to 19. I am a positive, reliable, supportive, and fun teacher who works hard to ensure that each student is able to learn in an enjoyable and accessible manner.

In 2022, one of Maxim's students scored an A* in A-Level Politics, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. His students regularly gain top grades in A-levels and coursework. In 2021, both long-term Politics students got their desired grades and went to their dream universities. Maxim has experience across the Humanities, including various A-Level Politics syllabi and exam boards. The Oxbridge tutorial system (going through essays forensically and discussing them in depth) is central to Maxim's tutoring. These were, in his own words, "the best years of my life, with a learning experience I'm keen to share." Testimonials “The amount of history and your ability to create a timeline in order to help me learn the syllabus, although (it) may seem like common sense, makes the course much easier to understand thanks to you.” Andreas (A-Level Politics student) “Maxim tutored our son regularly throughout his A level Politics course. He was awarded an A* in his exam. Maxim has extensive background knowledge about the subject, exam technique and offers patience and persistence. Our son said he misses the sessions now the exams are over, which is a real endorsement. I would thoroughly recommend Maxim.” Jane (parent of former Politics student) Bio Maxim is a Masters student in London, studying Broadcast Journalism. Before that, he spent two years working exclusively as a freelance History and Politics tutor. He spent three years at Trinity College, Oxford reading History and Politics. At Oxford, Maxim focused on British and international politics, achieving high marks in International Relations and US Politics. While a student, Maxim also appeared on University Challenge and was twice an elected member of the Oxford Union's governing body. Maxim got three A grades at A-Level, notching up 100% in UK Politics with additional success in US Politics. Maxim received offers from LSE and Warwick along with Oxford.

Hi I'm Emily and I've tutored English language and literature for just over 3 years now, as well as Religious Studies and Philosophy. These subjects have always been a passion of mine and I love teaching others, helping them to understand and appreciate different texts, books, and theories. I also help with personal statements and love to help students through the university application process as I know how daunting it can be. Sometimes all it takes is another pair of eyes to have a look! I gained A levels in English language, Textiles, and Philosophy and Ethics before studying at the University of Leeds and graduated in 2020 with a 2.1 BA and industrial year in fashion design (bit of a change I know!). When the pandemic hit I had to rethink things and found myself wanting to help people instead, which inevitably turned into tutoring, as well as working as a community carer with children and adults with SEN. I am experienced in a range of needs and can accommodate accordingly. Tutoring English, RE and Philosophy for the past 3 years has been a dream come true. I've worked with so many lovely students and really felt like I've changed their outlook on the subjects. I love seeing their confidence soar and their faces light up when something suddenly clicks. I like to keep my lessons fun and engaging and make you feel like this is not just extra work because it can be fun trust me! No matter your struggles, I'd love to see where I can help.

I am an experienced tutor with an Environmental Sciences MSc from Imperial College London. I am patient, approachable and friendly and have a very adaptable approach to teaching. I like the student to feel at ease, enjoy learning as much as possible and to ultimately set the pace. I have experience tutoring students with SEN's, such as dyslexia. I specialise in English, Geography, French and RS up to GCSE level. I have taught English to both children and adults overseas (Sulawesi, Indonesia and Kenya) and in the UK. I have lived and worked in Guinea, West Africa and taught children in both groups and 1-1. I have experience lesson planning and finding creative ways to assist the learning process. I’m very organised and self-motivated and just love helping others learn. Teaching is something I truly enjoy doing- connecting with the student and helping them to connect with the subject. I have experience teaching SEN students and have completed a Special Educational Needs (SEN) diploma, specialising in dyslexia. Over the years I have developed my own learning techniques which has helped me navigate my way around the education system, but most importantly develop an understanding of the need for patience and listening to a persons unique learning requirements.

Hello, I'm Hannah! I am an English Tutor and CELTA-Qualified EFL Teacher with 5 years’ experience. Alongside, my own client base, I am also employed as an Online ESL teacher with an internationally renowned company “in China”. I work with all ages, levels, nationalities and needs. Prior to being a full-time teacher, I worked in one of the UK’s leading EFL schools as a Language Assistant. I have a BA in English Literature with Creative Writing, as well as an MA in Literature from the University of York. I also speak: Spanish - B2, French - A2 and Romanian - A1. EXAMPLES OF WHAT I TEACH: - Essay Writing Skills and Proofreading Feedback - EFL (including IELTS, Cambridge Exams) - KS2, 3 and 4 English Language and Literature - Grammar Practice - Creative Writing and Editing Techniques MY PROMISE: - Teach the content required in preparation for the relevant exams, curriculum and/or identified needs - Ensure examination questions are practised and ensure understanding of the mark scheme specifications - Provide free consultations reflecting on the progress of the student at their request - Be diligent on providing excellent tutelage MY APPROACH: It’s all about you! You are the director of your tuition. While following the curriculum/exam board is paramount, getting where you want to be starts by meeting you where you are. I strongly encourage students to be self-reflective and think about what areas they find most challenging. This is helpful in determining how to structure the exam and lesson content in a direction that is going to challenge and strengthen the target areas. Most of all, I want my students to thrive and leave class knowing or feeling confident about something new. My learning style is all about you. You should be the director of your education and needs. While following the curriculum is paramount, my philosophy is about meeting my students where they are at academically and working towards where they would like to be. From flashcards to worksheets, I create bespoke resources that are tailor-made to your lessons. My tuition is student-driven; we build a plan together based on your learning style and expectations. Your first lesson will be a needs analysis where we discuss the direction of your tuition and build rapport for an effective learning environment. Finally, I'm a good teacher because I am an enthusiastic learner, I am an avid reader and currently learning two languages myself - French and Spanish, so I understand what's like being a language student too. I care about my students and I am invested in their growth as students and confident learners. Most importantly, I love what I do, so if you want enthusiastic teaching, engaging and professional lessons, let's get started today!

I am a fully qualified teacher with 20 years of experience teaching English at KS3, 4 and 5 level, both in the state and independent sector. I am also a mother of three children who are now all grown up and on their way to `bigger` things, but I understand the concerns parents may have about the progress of their children. At school, in a class of 15 to 30, it is very difficult for the teacher to give each pupil the individual attention they need and deserve. This is what I enjoy about tutoring: it is 100% child focused. I offer tutoring on a one-to-one basis at your home or in the small classroom I have at my own house. I specialise in tutoring for the 11+ entrance exams as well as specific English tuition up to GCSE level. I am also an official GCSE exam marker for AQA English and as such have an in-depth understanding of how the exam board awards marks. I have gained experience in administering the 11+ entrance exams in the independent school I worked at, as well as marking the papers. With regards to the 11+ preparation, I cover all areas: Maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. Tutoring allows me to personalise all the planning and teaching to the needs of the young people I am working with. After an initial assessment, I can identify where the areas of strength and areas of development lie. I then tailor the lessons precisely to the needs of the pupil. By working on the areas of development, it is very clear to see where there is progress and parents will be informed and kept up to date. My approach is friendly and pupils do not feel `stressed` in my presence. Parents often comment that their children enjoy the lessons and I ensure that my pupils receive plenty of praise so they really feel a sense of achievement. I am experienced in teaching and marking various exam boards, including IGCSEs: AQA, Edexcel, CIE. I have a proven track record of enabling pupils to achieve outstanding results, exceeding their predicted potential.I have achieved success as a Head of Department and also as a Director of Teaching and Learning, when I empowered other teachers to be successful classroom practitioners. In short, I have years of successful teaching and tutoring experience.

Teaching is my Passion but just a profession. I started teaching at a tender age of 12 and since then I've been teaching students from the age of 3 up to 74. I have taught Business, Economics, Accounting, Math, English, Sociology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Politics, Geography and History for GCSE/ OL and Advanced Level examinations for popular local and international exam boards including Cambridge, Edexcel, OCR and AQA. During my 22 years of formal school teaching career and more than 25 years of tutoring, I have produced most World Prize Winners who scored 600/600 for the above subjects in the above mentioned examinations consecutively over many years. I have also lectured at Universities and tutored for undergraduates, post graduates and PhD students and helped with their assignments and assessments over the years. My classes are interactive and fun to learn which make the students love not just like the subject. I discuss a range of past exam questions, self-prepared exams and training the students to improve their writing skills in theory subjects and improve their analytical skills in other. My most important asset of all is my flexibility and adaptability to the individual requirements and needs of each student and preparing myself accordingly. This skill I have gained by teaching students of all culture and age groups from 63 different countries. Demo lessons I’ve attached some links below of my demo lessons which will give an idea on my teaching methodology. Please feel free to contact me if you have any more queries. About me: I am French native and qualified teacher with a PGCE and a QTS. I have been teaching French for 6 years, from primary to secondary school and adults classes. All my experience has allowed me to be very creative in my teaching. Integrating ICT, books, worksheets, power points, videos, and interactive games to ensure a broad variety of teaching methods are implemented. I always ensure that all skills are covered. I have excellent feedback of students that I have tutoring for GCSE IGCSE and Alevel examinations in order to get a A* with success. I will provide my students with a medium term planning, and personalise learning experience. We can discuss your needs, and I will be able to assess your requirements. Whether you are an auditory, visual, or kinaesthetic learner, I will find a strategy that will result in success. When I teach, I don’t use complicated grammatical explanations that simply confuse people and I don`t ask you to memorise long lists of vocabulary - because my 10 years experience have shown me that this simply does not work. Instead, through 1-to-1 interaction, I show our students how to build up the language, step by step, so that they are actually speaking independently in French. I worked at Whitechapel and Muswell Hill secondary schools, as well as in Adult Education for City Lit at Coven Garden. I am currently working part-time in secondary school as Teacher. I am a qualified teacher and in my teaching career I was able to cater for the needs of primary secondary and adults students, covering the basic language, from common entrance, GCSE, A-level, DELF-DALF, IB, to adults. I enjoy teaching all of those levels because it has allowed me to bring lots of creativity and create a wide range of resources that can be adapted to all my students. Tutoring online: I have been teaching French for many years. I am from Paris and hold a PGCE and QTS. In 2013` I started to offer online tutorial because... I wanted to learn Spanish at home or during my trips and couldn`t find any good free ressource on the internet (it may have changed since that time!). Online lessons worked very well for me as it was very interactive and flexible. So why not me? So, I started designing my own course from scratch. And slowly I had more and more learners asking for French on Skype or Zoom. French courses Program, What I offer: Free discussion: on any topics you like! Conversation in real-life situations: master dialogues and get confidence in speaking French! Examples : Shopping at a boulangerie Daily conversations: at breakfast Ordering at a restaurant Buying medicine at drugstore Buying a ticket and take a bus/metro Asking for directions on the street Making an appointment with dentist by phone Make an appointment for the week-end with a friend SKYPE), and then have a discussion on the content with the French teacher Grammar & oral practice: deepen your understanding of grammar and practice speaking using the grammar knowledge in real conversation. You can choose a specific grammar form to practice (ex. Past tense, future tense, conditional for polite form, conditional for hypotheses, subjunctive, etc.) Writing expression: you read the article I send you in advance and write your opinion (max. 250 words). I receive your text by email, will check it and send you the correction by email. Preparation for exams: I analyse your current level and help you set goals and study plans in order to succeed in the exam. Specialised rench: Î will help you learn specific expressions and vocabulary in French necessary to your profession and specialisation. What type of lesson do you need? With me you can... prepare for your French exam DELF, DALF, others.. talk about subjects that interest you - news, films, literature, etc... prepare for a professional interview or a meeting My avaibility: Daytime and some evenings. week-ends (teaching at home). I can tutor online and will ensure to make it as challenging as possible. Please note that a basic transport fee will be applied if I come to your place.
