I'm an active film producer and film theorist who takes on some private tutoring work on the side. As such, I tend to only have one or two clients at a time, meaning my time with you is focused and catered towards your individual needs.
I started my career in film after completing an undergraduate degree in Media Production at Northumbria University in Newcastle. Before graduating, I was already working in film production offices in the city and delivering work which won awards globally, including a BAFTA nominated feature film, I Am Nasrine (2012, dir Tina Gharavi).
My experience has also seen me working with the delivery teams as part of large British film festivals, including Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest and now London Short Film Festival.
Over the last 3 years I have supplemented this work by offering my services as a tutor, specialising in media studies and film. I have worked with private clients of all ages: either to support a young learner in their understanding of filmmaking skills, film history or perhaps the basics of animation, to augment a college or academy application; or working with adult learners, delivering more targeted sessions on specifics such as video editing, script writing or project management.
Now based in South London, and shortly to complete an MA in Film & Screen Studies from Goldsmiths University of London, I am keen to share my expertise with new clients via Tutor House.

Maxim is a Masters student in London, studying Broadcast Journalism. Before that, he spent two years working exclusively as a freelance History and Politics tutor.
He spent three years at Trinity College, Oxford reading History and Politics. At Oxford, Maxim focused on British and international politics, achieving high marks in International Relations and US Politics. While a student, Maxim also appeared on University Challenge and was twice an elected member of the Oxford Union's governing body.
