Are you hoping to apply to top UK Art and Design undergraduate courses within the next year? Contact me to get a head start preparing your portfolio, and get motivated by working on a project outside of school. I also offer help with Art and Design study from GCSE level and up, and literacy skills for primary school age children. However big or small your goal, I would love to support you in achieving it. I studied Fine Art to degree level at Central Saint Martins College, and I am currently studying MA Photography at the Royal College of Art. Portfolio preparation for art and design university entrance is my speciality. In the last year my clients have gained places on top art courses at Central Saint Martins, Goldsmiths, Brighton, Nottingham Trent and Kingston. I am committed to education and the arts, and since graduating from the University of the Arts London in 2014 Prior to becoming a tutor I was employed as Archives and Special Collections Assistant at University of the Arts London, supporting teaching, learning and research for students of a wide range of academic abilities and needs. This role included giving workshops to students on a one-to-one basis, and in larger groups. I was also a guest tutor for the MA Culture, Criticism and Curation course at Central Saint Martins. Before my role at the university was made full time I was able to volunteer with the charity Beanstalk as a Reading 321 Helper, supporting three children twice weekly to improve their literacy. These were children in Primary School who had been identified as being behind with their reading skills. I have also been involved with The Girls Network Mentoring Scheme. If your child is struggling with literacy, and needs to find enjoyment in reading, contact me. Coming from a creative, academic background I appreciate that everyone has their own style of learning. I like to engage children with their own creativity in order to assist them with problem solving and finding their unique way to reach their academic goals.

I am a practicing Photographer as well as Art Tutor. I gained my art education in leading art schools such as Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Art and Design and Royal College of Art. I am familiar with Fine Art techniques across Sculpture, Painting, Drawing, Graphic Design and Photography which is my main specialisation. I am also proficient in teaching History of Art and Art Criticism. I am confident about sharing my knowledge and experience with others while motivating and giving the freedom in self-exploration and experimentation - at the same time having a structure and specific action plan that allows the best possible development of the students and providing support and motivating critique. I have been teaching Art Theory and Practice for 10 years now, helping students with Portfolio Preparation and Applications to art universities and competitions as well as teaching children who are only making their first steps in the art world. Please, contact me to discuss your needs and expectations and I will be very happy to help you! You can see some examples of my personal work on Instagram - @mjwittchen and on my website www.magdalenawittchen.com .

Film and Media expert offering support across a number of subjects, including maths and English. I'm an active film producer and film theorist who takes on some private tutoring work on the side. As such, I tend to only have one or two clients at a time, meaning my time with you is focused and catered towards your individual needs. I started my career in film after completing an undergraduate degree in Media Production at Northumbria University in Newcastle. Before graduating, I was already working in film production offices in the city and delivering work which won awards globally, including a BAFTA nominated feature film, I Am Nasrine (2012, dir Tina Gharavi). My experience has also seen me working with the delivery teams as part of large British film festivals, including Berwick Film & Media Arts Festival, Sheffield Doc/Fest and now London Short Film Festival. Over the last 3 years I have supplemented this work by offering my services as a tutor, specialising in media studies and film. I have worked with private clients of all ages: either to support a young learner in their understanding of filmmaking skills, film history or perhaps the basics of animation, to augment a college or academy application; or working with adult learners, delivering more targeted sessions on specifics such as video editing, script writing or project management. Now based in South London, and shortly to complete an MA in Film & Screen Studies from Goldsmiths University of London, I am keen to share my expertise with new clients via Tutor House. I'm happy to discuss possibilities and opportunities with anyone whose curious to know more, and create a tuition plan which works best for you

I am a practising artist with 20 years’ teaching experience (15 years as Head/Director of art) I can support all pupils and adult learners at any level. I currently work as Director of Faculty in one of the UK’s leading Independent Boarding Schools. (Fine art was the best performing subject in my school at A Level Summer 2019.) Those wishing to make the next step into Further or Higher education will benefit from additional support to enrich their body of work for portfolio interview. I work with GCSE and A Level pupils to help improve their coursework. Or perhaps you’ve always wanted to improve your drawing or painting skills simply for pleasure and to learn the rudiments of direct observational study; life drawing has been a mainstay for as long as I can remember, and hundreds of younger learners and senior artists have benefitted from private tuition since I started teaching. The discipline of drawing and art practice in general, rewards individuals with the sanctuary of mindfulness in addition to the benefit of skill-based progress I can teach across all media to groups or individuals – even demonstrate how to throw a pot! – I am happy to receive bespoke enquiries. "Stuart is a great teacher, he always makes every class interesting & different each week, inspired us by using various materials & techniques in different ways stretching our minds. He is always positive with his criticism which encouraged you to produce some great works, this makes the classes enjoyable discussing our work together, feeling the group were a team. His interest & encouragement has inspired me to continue with life drawing. " Anita Page "If I have any regret of my time being tutored by Stuart it is that I only joined his group a year before he moved away from Bury St Edmunds yet even in that short time with his remarkable skills as a teacher I found my drawing skills generally; and figure drawing skills in particular; improved considerably. Because of his instruction and guidance and the foundation it gave me my art has developed and evolved to embrace most media and other genre. I will always be grateful to him." Paul Lewins "Stuart manages to bring variety in his approach to classes. Some weeks he positions tables propped upright on their ends and we work in various media on paper the full size of the model. Sometimes we draw a model who moves in various ways in rotation. Our still life evenings are also different, he brings in a pigs head for us to draw, and also a brace of pheasants. Stuart is always very encouraging. He covers all the basics in teaching us how to measure the body by eye, by aligning different parts of the body, and demonstrates different media techniques. " Caroline Bell "Stuart came with enthusiasm and willingness to share his skills. Within the group hw was able to bring out individual artistic talents. He gave us confidence to attempt many different techniques. My art abilities are definitely built on groundings set by him" Sandie Taylor

Hello! I have experience with one-on-one tuition across the humanities, with a specialty in English language and literature. I have helped students tackle GCSE exam preparation to proof-reading degree dissertations to helping adults with developmental disabilities write fiction. I would be thrilled to help you, too. I am able to support SEN students across a range of areas, including dyslexia, dyscalculia, aspergers, ADHD and more. Whether it's specific help needed on a set text or guidance required for exam technique, I am here to work with you to improve your grades! I am a filmmaker and fiction writer so I am very happy to provide help with creative writing and general writing skills, too. I have been a teaching assistant for graduate-level classes at Columbia University in the United States, helping students to hone their writing and editing skills. I received a BA from Bristol University in English Literature and a master's from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where I was a Pulitzer Fellow, awarded to the top five students in a cohort of 250. Apart from my teaching experience, I have worked for an HBO documentary show in New York, made award-winning documentaries and narrative short films, worked on the arts desk at The Daily Telegraph newspaper in London and as a reporter at The Tibet Post in northern India. I have written about films for GQ and HuffPost, and my fiction is published in The Stinging Fly, an Irish literary magazine. In my spare time, I love to read (anything and everything, with a preference for American fiction), watch films, spend time in nature, meditate and cook for family and friends. I also love animals, and have a 10-year-old cat named Stevie. I look forward to working together!

I am a friendly 31 year old graduate tutor. I completed my BA in History of Art, and my MA in Psychosocial Studies, for which I gained a first. I love studying, and have also completed short courses and modules in Social Anthropology, Philosophy and English literature. More recently I gained a certificate in Psychotherapy studies and skills. I have a wealth of experience of tutoring, through private tutoring jobs as well as working in schools. I have worked with students from aged 4 to 50! I specialise in Studies Skills. This means that whatever subject you are studying, I may be able to help out. The bulk of my tutoring experience is from working with students who need help with studies skills, with things like structuring essays, organising time, essay writing, proof reading, and many other issues around studying! I have supported students across the Humanities and Social Sciences in these areas, in particular working with A Level Students and BA students. I have tutored History of Art and English Literature to many A Level, Bachelors and adult learner students, helping with structuring essays and understanding materials. I also have a particular knowledge of psychology and sociology, from my Masters in Psychosocial Studies, and have a lot of experience of working with psychology students from years 10-13. I also have a great deal of SEN experience, having worked in SEN schools as a teaching assistant throughout my career. I always enjoy working one on one with students and finding out together a way of working that suits them best. In our first session we will talk about how you like to study and what you would like to gain from our lessons - I prefer to structure each lesson around the individual. I work from a person centred approach, meaning I approach each individual as an individual! other info on me: I love learning, motorbiking, working with people, reading, walking.

I have been a tutor in Art and Design for the past eight years. I graduated from the Royal College of Art with a Masters in Sculpture in 2021 and did my BA at Camberwell College of Art, graduating in 2014. I currently teach art to a whole range of students from four years old upwards. I focus on teaching both new techniques to students such as oil pastel, printing, collage, Photoshop and craft based activities as well as helping students improve skills in drawing and painting. I enjoy teaching sketchbook and portfolio work for GCSE and A Level- helping students to understand the marking criteria so that they can do the best in their qualification through development of their project and thinking in more creative ways. The feedback from these sessions has been extremely positive and students have seen their grades improve dramatically. I really enjoy teaching art and all students have exceeded in their subject and enjoyed the session together. I am enthusiastic and patient and will go out of my way to help and teach in a clear, simple and fun way. I teach creatively, explaining ideas and concepts visually to help students understand and more effectively digest ideas and information. For two years I taught English and Maths with 'The Complete Works' to secondary school aged students who were not in mainstream education, often working with children with SEN and behavioural issues. I used art and creative processes to engage the students in learning which in turn would alter their mind-set of education and push their boundaries of what they thought they could achieve. I have also run arts and crafts clubs in schools teaching jewellery design, painting and crafts. In my free time I continue to work on my art practice- drawing, painting and creating films and installations. I also enjoy visiting art galleries, making gifts and practicing Tai Chi.
