I am currently studying Biochemistry at University of Oxford having finished schooling at North London Collegiate School where I gained 45/45 in the International Baccalaureate (IB) programme. I have had previous experience tutoring IB biology, chemistry, English, maths and economics as well as GCSE French, English, maths, biology and chemistry. I believe in altering my teaching style according to the student and have had experience in tutoring a variety of different academic abilities and ages. I am extremely organised and am happy to go above and beyond in regards to preparation and gathering resources to help the student. My experience in tutoring for IB and GCSE means that I am good at ensuring that all parts of the syllabus are covered and that the student is well informed of what’s expected in the exam. One of my IB students was recently admitted to Tufts University in Massachusetts while other students that I am currently tutoring for SAT are currently applying for numerous highly ranked American Universities.

I have a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry and am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Synthetic Biochemistry at UCL. I have been a tutor for over a year now back in Canada and thouroughly enjoyed the experience! I am fluent in both English and French, and can give Math, Science and French tutoring from Year 1 to Year 13. I can also teach undergrad chemistry classes. I've worked with children, teenagers and adults since I was 16 in many different contexts. First as a tutor, then as a lifeguard and swimming instructor. I have had clients of all ages, and managed to help them develop methods that helped them out all throughout their learning process . Seeing that light of comprehension in people's eyes when they finally understand that one thing that was giving them trouble is honestly my favorite thing to witness! I'm always glad to help people understand new concepts!

I am a Mechanical Engineering Undergraduate at Imperial College London holding a first class honours throughout. I have achieved 5 A*s in A-Level. My A-level subjects were Mathematics(A*), Further Mathematics(A*), Physics(A*), Chemistry(A*) and Economics(A*). I achieved 6A* and 4As in my GCSE. Help comes to those who ask for it. If you need help, do get in touch and you will feel the difference! I love teaching and I have 5 years (1000+ hours) experience of teaching GCSE/A-Level students in AQA, Edexcel, OCR and CAIE etc boards. I have taught Urdu to various GCSE and A-Level students and professionals. I have myself conducted Edexcel speaking exams for Urdu Language at various UK schools. I take special care of students having dyslexia and special requirements. I have also taught SAT, SAT Subject Tests, UKMT and University entrance exam students. I myself applied to Cambridge so I can guide and well prepare students for Oxbridge entrance exams such as ENGAA and PAT as well as interviews. My students can attest that my lessons are delivered comprehensively; with frameworks and exam techniques developed to ensure that students lose as few marks as possible during the exam. All my students have significantly improved in my supervision. I am an expert at doing crash courses and quick revision sessions. I have a great passion for math, physics and chemistry and I enjoy teaching them. My calm and polite nature will help enhance your learning experience and you will definitely enjoy studying with me. I make sure that my students firmly grasp the concepts of what I teach them and I never mind repeating myself again and again during a lesson. Exam technique is an art on its own, and there are plenty of approaches which I teach to make them less stressful. For any further queries, feel free to contact me. Thanks!

I am a 4th year Biology student from Leeds currently in my final year. I have been passionate about my love for Science and Education since a young age and have plenty of experience tutoring online science and being a mentor to children. I achieved A* in Biology at both GCSE and A-Level (both with AQA) and my dedication to the subject has only increased as I have studied it at Uni. I achieved an A* in Geography at A-Level as well as an A in GCSE Chemistry, Physics, English Language, English Literature and Geography. I spent last year at the University of Calgary in Canada where on a year abroad where I took new classes I couldn't take in Leeds while being exposed to new methods of teaching and assessment, developing my knowledge of how students best learn. I am currently applying for PGCE courses from September 2021. I have plenty of tutoring experience. I have been tutoring with a charity called CoachBright since October delivering GCSE Physics to wonderful students. I tutor online weekly to several groups of school students across the country. I am a STEM Ambassador for my university where I run events to encourage school children into STEM courses at university, especially aimed at BAME students. I have been accepted onto a Summer Camp in Canada next year where I will mentor a group of children aged 7-15 by leading activities and helping them reach their potential. I also have experience mentoring 1st year university students in their transition to higher education leading weekly sessions with 20 students. Being a student myself still I am fully aware of how difficult grasping concepts and learning can be! Students need concepts explained to them in a short and concise manner. I then encourage questions to be asked before setting questions and activities and working through problems with them. The ability of a student to explain concepts back to me is a keystone of them understanding these concepts. They should be able to do my job by the end of the session. I determine a students type of learning (e.g. visual, auditory, written) and tailor my lessons to their form of learning (e.g. providing visual demonstrations, written explanations etc.).

Hi there! My name is Dr. Nathan Thompson, and I am tutoring in science and maths. I am currently a secondary school teacher of GCSE/A Level science in the north of England. Previously, I worked as a university researcher and teacher, with loads of experience teaching students up to degree level. I hold a PhD and BSc in chemistry. I keep my tuition sessions simple: we revise, we practice, and this way, we improve. In a typical lesson, we would work on a topic or piece of homework, I guide you, and we practice with questions. We can even look deeper into a topic if you'd like, this is always an option! A bit about me outside of teaching. When I'm not in the classroom, I am running, writing music or (attempting!) to cook something exciting for my dinner! I look forward to working with you, Nathan

Hi, my name is Bruno and I am a Doctor in chemistry. I obtained my PhD at Imperial College London in 2017 and then went on to work as a researcher in chemistry at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I’ve spent the past two years training as a cybersecurity specialist across a European client base and have enjoyed training and developing colleagues and customers in this industry. My passion has however always been chemistry and my ability to teach, develop understanding and communicate with this subject makes me an ideal tutor to help you pass your CGSE and A-Levels, getting you to your desired higher-education destination. I would describe myself as a very patient human being who believes in the power of communication between student and teacher. Based on my experience there is no one size fits all when it comes to learning. I would be glad to have a conversation about where you want to get to and understand what is the best way I can help you to get there.

TAILORED APPROACH TO TUTORING I did very "sciencey" subjects at school and, because I had broad interests, I always lamented how the UK school system forced you to specialise so early. I've more than made up for that at university where I earned a place at Cambridge for natural sciences, which is perhaps the broadest course possible - essentially ranging from history to physics. I know how dull some of the school curriculum can be but, having done a wide range of subjects at university, I know that things get much more exciting later on: a lesson which seems boring at school might be very interesting at degree level. I hope to pass the enthusiasm I've gained, from studying engaging university subjects, on to the school students I tutor, and help them find in their school learning the enthusiasm that I now have in my university career. I hope to enable my tutees to have as enjoyable an academic career as I’ve had, by helping them find the things that really excite them in their subjects. This approach will guide the student as they successfully pursue their academic interests as far as they wish to take them, whether that means simply making the most of their school education or going on to excel at a top university. In all cases, I bring the philosophy of individual and attentive focus on the student, which I have experienced in the Cambridge supervision environment, to the private tuition I offer. EXPERIENCE I am currently working as a full-time online tutor. I have extensive experience of preparing students for entrance to top universities, including Oxbridge. Drawing upon my own experience as a Cambridge applicant and undergraduate, I offer insights into the admissions tests and interviews required for such institutions. This ensures my tutees are able to maximise their chance of admission to an exciting course at their choice of university. I bring the same ethos to the GCSE and A level science and maths I tutor, and strive to ensure my tutees not only perform their best in their exams, but also find their school learning as rewarding and enjoyable as possible. Having studied maths, physics, chemistry and materials science as part of my Cambridge natural sciences degree, I am able to tutor students working towards admission to any university maths or physical sciences course. Previously, I have helped students prepare for a range of courses, including mathematics and natural sciences at Cambridge, physics at Oxford, and materials science and engineering at Imperial College London. Additionally, I tutor physics, chemistry, maths, and further maths to A level (and GCSE) standard, as well as the international equivalents of these. Having done a little neurobiology at undergraduate level also, I am no stranger to the biological side of the sciences and am well equipped to tutor separate, or combined, GCSE science. BACKGROUND Growing up in the north of England, I was often frustrated by the lack of challenging study that was provided at my local primary school. I increasingly found myself working, independently, outside of the school’s curriculum in order to keep engaged with my learning and make academic progress. This work paid off, and I won a scholarship to the secondary school of my choice, without which my family would never have been able to afford the school’s fees. I continued working hard, including outside of the curriculum, and I benefitted greatly from the extra guidance the school provided to aid my academic study. Thanks to this, I achieved the equivalent of 10 A*s at GCSE, alongside an A in AS level French, as well as the Duke of Edinburgh’s Bronze Award. This was followed by 4 A*s at A level (in each of maths, further maths, physics and chemistry) and an A* in the London Institute of Banking and Finance’s Level 3 Certificate in Financial Studies. During this time, I earned a Merit in round one of the British Mathematical Olympiad and a Gold in the UK Chemistry Olympiad. I also hold two professional-standard music diplomas (the ARSM on saxophone and the dipABRSM on clarinet), which were both completed while still at school. From secondary school, I went on to study natural sciences at Peterhouse, Cambridge. I have successfully completed the first year, during which I studied maths, physics, chemistry and materials science. Although this is a very wide-ranging course, it also does not compromise on the depth to which each science can be studied; it has been a great pleasure to engage with a plethora of scientific subjects at a university level. I am currently taking a year away from Cambridge in order to work full-time as an online tutor. On my return to Cambridge, I intend to specialise in neurobiology and experimental psychology, as well as the history and philosophy of science. However, I also hope to continue working as an online tutor in the coming years (at least in a part-time capacity). When I'm not tutoring, I pursue an interest in science outside of (as well as within) my tutoring career by reading around my subjects and by solving additional problems. Another serious interest of mine is music, and I have had tremendous fun playing in the Cambridge University Wind Orchestra. I also enjoy rowing regularly, for both Leeds Rowing Club and Peterhouse Boat Club, depending on where I am based at the time, and I play a little recreational chess. Additionally, something that is perhaps unexpected of a scientist such as myself, I helped found a poetry society during my time at university, and I enjoy writing submissions in my spare time to present at society meetings.

I have been teaching since 2000, of which 1 year as a supply teacher in Greater-London. I have a large collection of animations, 3D-visualization, AR and VR apps about all sorts of biological processes. As a classroom teacher, I always tried to activate the pupils by using alternative methods, rather than just talking in front of a powerpoint, however, sometimes this is necessary too. After a huge recalibration, I decided to become a full-time biology tutor, both in the UK and Belgium, exclusively online. This way, I get to spend a little more attention to my family and myself. I'm also completing a football coach course. In the past, I was a windsurf instructor at Camp Moosilauke in the US. I hold a degree in first aid as well.
