Currently, I am a Ph.D student in creative writing living in Manchester but I am available for Zoom lessons only. I am a published writer/poet and also run a successful small publishing press, focusing on writing in the experimental calibre.
My experience tutoring began working with a fifteen year old girl a 4 years ago who was struggling with social anxiety and panic disorder. She was unable to go to school and I stepped in to help her pass her GCSEs. The whole experience shaped how I could help influence the student in an engaging and sensitive way, and inspire them to enjoy developing their knowledge. Before my role at the university was made full time I was able to volunteer with the charity Beanstalk as a Reading 321 Helper, supporting three children twice weekly to improve their literacy. These were children in Primary School who had been identified as being behind with their reading skills. I have also been involved with The Girls Network Mentoring Scheme.
