I am a qualified teacher of Spanish, French and German. I have taught in the classroom and been a private tutor for nine years. This includes working as a Head of Languages in a secondary school. I've always been passionate about languages. But when I was a pupil, with an overemphasis on vocabulary and an underemphasis on grammar, the teaching limited my progress. This motivated me to become a languages teacher who gives students the underlying framework of a language in order to accelerate their progress toward fluency. I've had proven success. Due to my GCSE results, I was promoted to Head of Department within two years of stepping foot in the classroom - success which I sustained at KS3, GCSE and A-Level. While I love the classroom, my passion has turned towards one-to-one tuition, simply because the learning gains are so quick. Since taking on a new role for the Department for Education in whole-school improvement, I have more flexibility to offer private tuition, bringing my experience of Ofsted-outstanding teaching and learning to my online lessons. The one-to-one format allows me to pack more into my lessons than in the classroom, and to go deeper with each of my students. You can expect to be supported and challenged. You'll have homework after every lesson. Something I place a high value on is explaining to you, where appropriate, the language learning process so that you can begin to map out your learning journey towards fluency. I studied Spanish, French and German at University so am equally proficient in all three. I also earned a Masters in Education Leadership in 2014. I offer lessons at every level. Whether you're someone who has never tried a language, a GCSE student, or someone who's looking for a conversation partner, I'd love to meet you. Get in touch!

I started my education career as a learning mentor in 2009 after having completed my degree in Chester in a Fine Art and French. After this, I then went on to volunteer in local primary schools eventually completing a PGCE in Exeter. Since then I have taught at schools in Devon, Stockport and Manchester working across KS2 primarily- working as a classroom teacher, French specialist teacher, PPA teacher and Art specialist teacher. I now tutor adults and children full time! I am a Fine Art, French and English Language specialist having both tutored these subjects to both children and adults. I exhibit and sell around the Manchester area I have knowledge of the 11+ exams and have current active experience of tutoring English and Maths. I believe in a question led approach to tutoring where the student takes on an active role in their learning. Being a visual and kin-aesthetic ( learn by doing) learner myself, I believe that promoting subjects using a variety of methods is immersive and engaging. I am a firm believer that it doesn't matter how quickly or slowly a person makes progress as long as they are not encouraged to stop! I like to personalize the learning experience for all.

I was born and educated in England. I have resided in Canterbury, Leeds, Oxford, London, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Oswestry. I gained five 'A Levels' (AAABC) at Notre Dame 6th Form College (Leeds) before attending Oxford University where I obtained Degrees in Philosophy and French. I proceeded to do Postgraduate studies in London where I was semi-resident at the British Library (1993-1998). I have been a widely published author since 1999, being the author of dozens of essays and monographs in Philosophy, Comparative Literature, Poetry and Psychology. I am co-author of the self-help book 'Reading in No Time' and author of the forthcoming publication 'French in No Time' (2020). He is a member of MENSA, the BAJ (British Assoc. of Journalists) and A3M (Academy of the 3rd Millennium). I am currently editor of the 'Nobel Prize Collection' for Living Time Books. I have taught pupils from KS1 to Postgraduate Level in the UK and abroad. I undertake an equal amount of group-teaching (lecturing/seminars/classroom) and individual tutoring (mentoring/coaching/private tutorials). I have taught in Switzerland (Geneva, Basel), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin, Munich), Italy (Milan) Poland (Krakow, Warsaw) and Slovakia (Bratislava). I am a native English speaker and also a fluent speaker of French and German. I am highly experienced in teaching children and adults with special educational needs - including Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Aspergers, Pathological Demand Avoidance), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other developmental conditions. I am quoted as saying: "Everyone can learn - it doesn't matter how differently we do so!" I specialize in GCSEs, A Levels, Entrance Exams and assistance with Dissertations, Essays, Theses & Coursework. I have explained my approach to teaching in the following way: "With every person that I teach, whether they are before me as an individual or as part of a group, first of all I take time to observe the way in which they learn - their own particular mode of processing information. Then, once I have understood their learning processes - be they visual, verbal, concrete, mathematical, or a combination of these - I customize my own teaching approach to that student's optimum mode of intake. This usually goes a large way toward maximizing their learning experience. What I find is of vital importance in the learning journey - and which is largely responsible for making it successful - is identifying with crystal clarity the exact goals which are to be attained. I make sure that my students do not lose sight of their goal and I make sure that their 'will-to-achieve' stays at a top level throughout the educational process. Without a goal, motivation falters".

I have graduated from Queen Mary University of London with a High 2:1. I have started doing an LLM in Energy and Natural Resources Law at Queen Mary University of London. I have taught more than 20 students, particularly prepared them for exams and helped them with courseworks. I also taught children, assisted them for learning a new language (both French and Turkish). I have different tutoring techniques for children: I prefer teaching them by playing games and having interactive conversations. Thus, I am native in Turkish, fluent in French and English, intermediate in Spanish. Moreover, I went to a French School from the age of 3 until 8, which is called Lycée Français Pierre Loti d'Istanbul, and I got my French Baccalaureate with Mention Tres Bien (16.2/20). All in all, my main goal is to help, motivate and support students to achieve their best. The most effective way to do this is by making sure that students understand each topic and do not hesitate to ask any questions. Thus, at the end of each session I am summarising what has been covered during the lesson. During the lessons, I am including real-life examples and stories that I have encountered in order to help the student remember and better understand. Finally, I strongly believe that informing the learner of objectives is crucial.

About me: I am French native and qualified teacher with a PGCE and a QTS. I have been teaching French for 6 years, from primary to secondary school and adults classes. All my experience has allowed me to be very creative in my teaching. Integrating ICT, books, worksheets, power points, videos, and interactive games to ensure a broad variety of teaching methods are implemented. I always ensure that all skills are covered. I have excellent feedback of students that I have tutoring for GCSE IGCSE and Alevel examinations in order to get a A* with success. I will provide my students with a medium term planning, and personalise learning experience. We can discuss your needs, and I will be able to assess your requirements. Whether you are an auditory, visual, or kinaesthetic learner, I will find a strategy that will result in success. When I teach, I don’t use complicated grammatical explanations that simply confuse people and I don`t ask you to memorise long lists of vocabulary - because my 10 years experience have shown me that this simply does not work. Instead, through 1-to-1 interaction, I show our students how to build up the language, step by step, so that they are actually speaking independently in French. I worked at Whitechapel and Muswell Hill secondary schools, as well as in Adult Education for City Lit at Coven Garden. I am currently working part-time in secondary school as Teacher. I am a qualified teacher and in my teaching career I was able to cater for the needs of primary secondary and adults students, covering the basic language, from common entrance, GCSE, A-level, DELF-DALF, IB, to adults. I enjoy teaching all of those levels because it has allowed me to bring lots of creativity and create a wide range of resources that can be adapted to all my students. Tutoring online: I have been teaching French for many years. I am from Paris and hold a PGCE and QTS. In 2013` I started to offer online tutorial because... I wanted to learn Spanish at home or during my trips and couldn`t find any good free ressource on the internet (it may have changed since that time!). Online lessons worked very well for me as it was very interactive and flexible. So why not me? So, I started designing my own course from scratch. And slowly I had more and more learners asking for French on Skype or Zoom. French courses Program, What I offer: Free discussion: on any topics you like! Conversation in real-life situations: master dialogues and get confidence in speaking French! Examples : Shopping at a boulangerie Daily conversations: at breakfast Ordering at a restaurant Buying medicine at drugstore Buying a ticket and take a bus/metro Asking for directions on the street Making an appointment with dentist by phone Make an appointment for the week-end with a friend SKYPE), and then have a discussion on the content with the French teacher Grammar & oral practice: deepen your understanding of grammar and practice speaking using the grammar knowledge in real conversation. You can choose a specific grammar form to practice (ex. Past tense, future tense, conditional for polite form, conditional for hypotheses, subjunctive, etc.) Writing expression: you read the article I send you in advance and write your opinion (max. 250 words). I receive your text by email, will check it and send you the correction by email. Preparation for exams: I analyse your current level and help you set goals and study plans in order to succeed in the exam. Specialised rench: Î will help you learn specific expressions and vocabulary in French necessary to your profession and specialisation. What type of lesson do you need? With me you can... prepare for your French exam DELF, DALF, others.. talk about subjects that interest you - news, films, literature, etc... prepare for a professional interview or a meeting My avaibility: Daytime and some evenings. week-ends (teaching at home). I can tutor online and will ensure to make it as challenging as possible. Please note that a basic transport fee will be applied if I come to your place.

Bonjour! I am a 28-year-old native French speaker from the South of France. I have been living in London for over 4 years and have several years of experience teaching French to a variety of people, from young children to adults. After obtaining my high school diploma I became an au pair in the US and taught French to the children in my care (8, 12, and 15 years old). Seeing them enjoy the acquisition of new skills gave me great satisfaction! When I returned to France I studied Tourism and Marketing at University. After completing my Bachelor's degree, I decided to move to London (2017) and put my knowledge into practice as a tour guide, alongside tutoring. In February 2020 I volunteered to help to build a school in Uganda (Abode School Project). One of the missions was to share our teaching technique with primary school teachers as well as teaching them French and English. It was such a privilege to share my language and culture, whilst learning about Ugandan customs and traditions. This experience was very inspiring and has prompted me to teach French regularly, back in London! Today, I'm teaching French at all levels and I'm passionate about it. At the moment, I teach online, with the possibility of doing lessons in person in the future when the circumstances allow it again. I adapt my lessons to each person's individual needs and goals and I make sure all aspects of the language are covered - written and oral comprehension as well as written and oral expression. My approach is also to make the lessons as fun and enjoyable as possible as well as helping students to gain confidence. I encourage them to try and find answers themselves, even if they are not fully sure. It is important not to be too self-conscious about making mistakes... everyone does! Outside of tutoring, I love to spend time traveling, meeting new people, exploring new cultures. I am also a ballet dancer and I do a lot of yoga! I’m very flexible with my hours, I can work weekdays/on the weekend/in the evening. Au plaisir de te rencontrer, A bientôt! Anaïs

I only teach a maximum of 6 lessons per week to allow time to prepare. thoroughly. I have taught all UK exam boards including Cambridge IGCSE. I have experience tutoring at general primary school level (all subjects), languages (English, French & Spanish) up to GCSE, law (up to and including undergraduate level) as well as 11+ and 13+ entrance exams covering both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. A law graduate of Warwick (LLB) and Cardiff (LLM) universities, I am a well-read individual with experience helping children and young people with their entrance exams, GCSE prep. or general homework/school tuition. I am a native English/French speaker and fluent also in Spanish. I have taught English abroad in Spain and coached swimming during holidays whilst studying at university and was able to combine my academic sides with experience enjoying working with children to become an effective helper of children, young people and adult learners to enjoy their learning process, as well as to overcome hurdles and ensure a natural passage to high proficiency and academic success. I was tutored myself for a brief period as a child, for an entrance exam and for years afterwards I'd be told that my reading level was ahead of my age group, so I have first hand experience of the benefits tutoring can bring. My teaching style is putting the student at the centre of everything I'm doing and working with them to help them overcome specifics whilst always maintaining an eye on the big picture to ensure the easy parts are not missed either. Perceiving what my student's gut feeling is towards the subject matter they're dealing with enables me to figure out immediately how best to proceed, whether it be starting with topics they find easier to ease them in to their routine before touching on and then tackling the harder ones, or sometimes beginning with a difficult topic but presenting it to the student in a novel way, breaking it down in to small pieces for them to slowly but confidently process before revisiting the topic in a future session to ingrain it within them and help them to use their new skill more confidently and quickly. I think it's pivotal for a tutor to maintain a perspective of everything their student has to achieve as well as focussing in on the specifics. This is to ensure they're on a road to timely success, However, I also firmly believe that in every session, a student must leave with tangible and measurable skills and knowledge that they didn't know before that session began. My ability to focus on the path ahead as well as providing the diligence required on a topic by topic basis has given me a track record of guiding my students successfully to their academic destination in a timely manner.

Is French hard to learn?

French is one of the most popular languages to learn. Whilst the different accents, gender cases and verb endings can seem complex, they are relatively easy to get your head around. With regular practice and good teaching, French can actually be one of the easier languages to learn.

How will a tutor help me?

If you're studying French at University, you'll want your language skills to be up to scratch for exams, coursework and of course your year abroad. Living in a French speaking country will immerse you in the language and it's important to feel confident before you move. A tutor can practice conversational French with you, as well as help you hone your writing skills if you'll be applying for jobs.

Which tutor do I choose?

Take a look at several tutor profiles before deciding and feel free to message multiple tutors. You might want to consider a tutor's qualifications, experience and teaching style. If you're fascinated by a certain area of French culture, you might want to choose a tutor who has studied this at University.
