Teaching Experience Maxim has tutored since graduating from Oxford in 2019. He has delivered over 1000 hours of tutoring, a testament to his commitment and dedication. In 2022, one of Maxim's students scored an A* in A-Level Politics, despite the Covid-19 pandemic. His students regularly gain top grades in A-levels and coursework. In 2021, both long-term Politics students got their desired grades and went to their dream universities. Maxim has experience across the Humanities, including various A-Level Politics syllabi and exam boards. The Oxbridge tutorial system (going through essays forensically and discussing them in depth) is central to Maxim's tutoring. These were, in his own words, "the best years of my life, with a learning experience I'm keen to share." Testimonials “The amount of history and your ability to create a timeline in order to help me learn the syllabus, although (it) may seem like common sense, makes the course much easier to understand thanks to you.” Andreas (A-Level Politics student) “Maxim tutored our son regularly throughout his A level Politics course. He was awarded an A* in his exam. Maxim has extensive background knowledge about the subject, exam technique and offers patience and persistence. Our son said he misses the sessions now the exams are over, which is a real endorsement. I would thoroughly recommend Maxim.” Jane (parent of former Politics student) Bio Maxim is a Masters student in London, studying Broadcast Journalism. Before that, he spent two years working exclusively as a freelance History and Politics tutor. He spent three years at Trinity College, Oxford reading History and Politics. At Oxford, Maxim focused on British and international politics, achieving high marks in International Relations and US Politics. While a student, Maxim also appeared on University Challenge and was twice an elected member of the Oxford Union's governing body. Maxim got three A grades at A-Level, notching up 100% in UK Politics with additional success in US Politics. Maxim received offers from LSE and Warwick along with Oxford.

I am a 28 year old Law Masters graduate. I practise company and commercial law, and tutor in my spare time. My qualifications include - BA (Hons) History, University of Nottingham, - Graduate Diploma in Law, University of Law - Bloomsbury. Commendation - International Commercial Law, LL.M, University College London. I teach English, Maths and Sciences, Religious Education, Economics, History and Geography up to GCSE and Economics, History, Politics, Philosophy and and Law at A-level. I can also offer support for undergraduate LL.B law students and commercial law Master's students. I provide support with those on the Bar Vocational Studies course, including Civil Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution, Criminal Litigation, Evidence and Sentencing, Legal Research and Opinion writing, and Drafting exercises. I also offer support for students engaging in research-based dissertations and extended essays. This includes advise on syntax, essay structure and development of compelling argument. I am friendly, supportive and have lots of patience. I try to make my teaching as engaging as possible, and have a very unique style, which tends to work well. I have extensive teaching experience, having taught English in primary schools in New Delhi, India, and History in primary and secondary school in the United Kingdom. On the extreme end of the spectrum, I have also taught debating and social skills to male and female inmates in some of London's biggest prisons. As a relatively young person, fresh out of university and the exam system, I am well placed to understand curriculums and precisely what the examiners expect. I offer great tips on improving exam technique.

Hello, this is Sem! I am an LLB Graduate from Queen Mary University of London and I have finished my LLM in Energy and Natural Resources Law at Queen Mary University of London. I am working in a law firm which specialises in Energy & Technology Law and doing online tutoring at the same time. I have taught more than 50 students in the past three years, prepared them for exams, helped them with courseworks and enhanced their knowledge. I also taught children, assisted them for learning a new language (both French and Turkish). Thus, I am native in Turkish, fluent in French and English, intermediate in Spanish. I am a very organised, disciplined and patient person. Moreover, I went to a French School from the age of 3 until 8, which is called Lycée Français Pierre Loti d'Istanbul, and I got my French Baccalaureate with Mention Tres Bien (16.2/20). All in all, my main goal is to help, motivate and support students to achieve their best. The most effective way to do this is by making sure that students understand each topic and do not hesitate to ask any questions. Thus, at the end of each session I am summarising what has been covered during the lesson. During the lessons, I am including real-life examples and stories that I have encountered in order to help the student remember and better understand.

I initially qualified as a barrister in 1986. I decided to re-qualify as a solicitor in 1990 and have worked as a solicitor ever since, covering many areas of civil and criminal law. More recently, I have specialised in criminal law. After obtaining a 2:1 Llb degree in 1985, I finished in the top 10th percentile in the Bar Exams in 1986. I retired as a solicitor in 2021. I prefer to tailor my methods according to the needs of the individual student. Some students require more leadership than others. It is important that the student feels engaged in the learning process since it is the student who will have to go on in between tutorials to study the subject. It is important to encourage the student toward better work and methods of working. I encourage students to discuss with me their difficulties in grasping a particular area of law. It is very satisfying to see a student begin to thrive in an area of law which initially seemed intimidatingly difficult. It is always important to apply the law one has learnt to a variety of potential situations in order fully to understand how the law works in practice. Equally, such exercises are the biggest mark-earners in the exams. Learning to present an argument in a logical, easy-to-follow fashion is very important.

I have been giving full time one on one English language courses every summer since 2014 for a tuition company. I have been teaching GCSE and A level Maths and science lessons part time during the rest of the year and am now hoping to do it full time. Many of my students have gone from struggling to get a C to getting an A in their exam. Many of my students parents have found me from word of mouth but I have recently moved from Bristol to London so starting my client base again. I have a degree in law which I completed recently and did a physics degree at UCL. The summer courses I gave also included looking after young students who lived at my house during the course.

Hello! I am an LLB Law graduate of the University of Exeter. At sixth form, I studied the International Baccalaureate with biology, chemistry and psychology at higher level. I have had over a year of tutoring (informal and formal combined). I became a tutor because I understand the importance of learning to understand rather than learning to remember. I only take on topics that I completely understand so that I can effectively teach these topics to a student. I mainly tutor science subjects especially biology and chemistry. I tutor all three sciences at GCSE level. I also tutor biology and psychology at IB and also A-level. As a law graduate, I can also tutor A-level law. In addition to this, I also have experience with academic mentoring and guidance of students applying to university especially Medicine. I can help with personal statements, university choices, UCAS guidance and even course choices. I recognise that all students are different which means that they have unique requirements. I usually spend most of my first lesson creating what I call a 'student profile'. This includes ascertaining information about the student's course, subjects, topics, learning style and other things that are relevant. This allows me to create a long-term plan for regular lessons and individual lesson plans tailored to the student. I use a range of teaching styles including presentations, quizzes and place an emphasis on interactive learning. As well as tutoring, I am aspiring for a career as a legal professional. My hobbies include nature photography, fashion illustration and perfume making.

What can I do with a Law degree?

The most common route for Law students is to become a barrister or solicitor. After completing a Law degree, graduates will begin their Law training contracts or training for the bar. If you don't want to become a traditional lawyer, a Law degree could see you take up jobs in human rights, government, diplomacy or business.

Is a Law degree hard?

The sheer amount of knowledge Law students must learn and revise is what makes a Law degree seem hard. Despite this, Law is an interesting and engaging subject to choose at University. It will develop your critical thinking, debating skills and analysis of situations.

How can a Law tutor help me?

If you're struggling with any areas of your Law degree, you might want to consider hiring a Law tutor. Achieving a First or Upper Second Class Honours at University is no mean feat, especially with a demanding subject like Law. Our private tutors have been through Law degrees themselves, so they are in the best position to guide you through your exams.

In need of a Law tutor at University?

Why study Law? A degree in Law sets students up with the ability to research, retain important information and build strong arguments. It develops your written and verbal communication skills immensely; these are important skills to depend on in all jobs, not just those within a legal setting.

What can I do with a Law degree? Whilst many who complete an LLB or other law degree will enter legal professions such as becoming a barrister, solicitor or training to become a judge, a law degree can open doors to many other career paths. Having a deep understanding of the law makes graduates highly attractive in the fields of business, government, commerce and banking, amongst others.

Completing a Law degree can be a challenging task, as it requires a huge amount of studying and understanding of all areas of the law. Many students rely on the support of a private tutor who has studied and/or practiced Law themselves. A private Law tutor can offer top tips for studying, explain tough legal cases and help you through other tricky areas of your Law degree.
