I have been working with young people for 4 years now and have gained a well rounded portfolio of experience. I have been grateful to receive wonderful feedback from students, parents and colleagues! I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Bristol with a BSc in psychology & philosophy. I worked at a TEFL Language school where I designed a cultural programme for students and was the chief point of contact as a mentor. Additionally, I worked in the SEN department at a London secondary school supporting students with all Key Stages including A Level & IB. I have worked with students who have aspergers, autism, ADHD, dyslexia, anxiety, sight-impairment and physical disability’s. A few examples of previous tutoring jobs: - Mentored a teenager over an 8 month period. - Tutored full time for the past 3 years as a subject generalist with an emphasis on the arts and humanities subjects. I have taught the core KS1, KS2, KS3, KS4 and KS5 syllabuses. Covering all subjects such as art, philosophy, psychology, history, english literature & language, maths, chemistry, biology, physics. I have also done A level and IB tuition for subjects such as history, philosophy, english, art and psychology. - I have worked full time as a home school tutor teaching the core subjects, arts & humanities for ages 5, 7, 9, 11 & 14. - I homeschooled two brothers from a high profile family and prepared them for the English curriculum (from the American system). I taught english literature & language , R.E, art, politics and current affairs, textiles and took them on educational excursions. They also had to pass school entrance exams 11+, 13+, both successfully. - I homeschooled two sisters ages 7 & 9 and taught all the core subjects as well the arts and humanities. I prepared the youngest for her 7 + exams which she successfully passed. My students have gone on to excel in many subjects but especially creative writing and critical thinking. One student of mine was refusing to write at his previous school but after a year of working together he gained entrance to a top London school and is now currently the top of his class for English and is particularly confident with his creative writing. Another student of mine has gone on to win poetry competitions. My teaching style is engaging, innovative and supportive. I try to instill confidence and academic curiosity in my students, as I believe this is equally important to achieving top marks. * Fun fact about me: I paint professionally and pursue writing when I’m not tutoring. I am now keen to take on more students and would love the opportunity to work with you! Once we have been in touch and established something my response time will be very rapid. However because I am very busy it might initially take a little longer to respond so I'm sorry for that! Should be worth the wait though.

I have tutored both in schools and privately since September 2018, along with 3 years of SEN mentoring of college students. I have tutored Biology, Chemistry, Combined Science, Maths, English and Psychology since September, but can also tutor subjects listed in my profile. I am very willing to adapt my tutoring style to the student's needs as this is what I believe makes the sessions more successful, as well as boosting their overall academic confidence, which contributes to better exam performance. I also have experience working in university admissions, so I am very capable in assisting AS and A-Level students in ensuring they have a strong applicant profile for university, and guiding GCSE students to help them figure out the steps they need to take to get in to university in the future.

I have completed A-levels in Psychology, Biology and Chemistry. I am at the University of Birmingham studying Nursing. Due to the Covid-19 circumstances, I am able to provide ‘Catch up’ sessions for those who felt as though they had missed crucial teaching for GCSES! (At a reduced price) During my degree so far, I have already come into contact with many people and I have learnt to really adapt to people's individual needs. As a new tutor I will be able to help others who need that extra boost and also pick up some skills for myself, working in an environment that is different to what I want to become. It will help me enhance my own skill set when working with people and I would learn something too! I always use my imagination and adapt to the way people learn so that's why they could come to me and I would help them in a way that would be straightforward for them to understand. I have had experience myself being the student and having a tutor help me when I really struggled. It helped make my learning a lot easier and I really appreciated the great effort that was taken for them to adapt to my own learning style. As I was quite stuck in my ways when it came to revising, I was taught to explore other ways and I was shown different techniques on how to learn and these really worked well. I have had plenty of experience in Public Speaking starting from a young age and continued throughout my teenage years. I worked in teams and competed against other groups on popular topics; I competed regionally and also nationally. I have experience in speaking in Gujarati quite fluently as I have been brought up for that to be my second language in my family. At A-level I undertook Psychology and loved the subject with a passion, it was my favourite one to learn about and it came naturally to me- that being I achieved an A. As a tutor that is fairly young and understands that each year the curriculum and topics vary in subjects, I will be able to adapt to what was changed and try my best to help.

I graduated from Oxford University in 2017 with a 2.1 degree in Experimental Psychology. Prior to that I did Psychology A Level (A*) and have since tutored the subject across both years of the course. Alongside part-time tutoring I also had a full-time job in digital marketing. I have also tutored other subjects before, so have plenty of experience teaching a wide range of abilities. I am friendly and always strive to create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere for teaching. My approach to teaching is to make sure the student is first comfortable with as much of the basics as possible; I believe it is better to have a solid foundation understanding of the subject and learn to be able to apply this to all other areas, than to have very specific knowledge of only a small handful of topics. I am happy to provide a copy of my CV or any references.

I am originally from San Francisco, California where I completed my International Baccalaureate diploma before moving to London for my higher education. I recently graduated with first class honours from King's College London with a BSc in Psychology. Presently, I am continuing my studies at University College London, in my first year of a two year MSc in Developmental Psychology and Clinical Practice. My goals with my training in psychology are to help children, young people, and families, clinically and therapeutically. Although this is a different focus than tutoring, the disposition and skills that make me passionate and successful in this domain also make me a patient, empathetic, and hard working tutor. My experience with tutoring and coaching originated with peer mentoring schemes in school and continued during my undergraduate degree, where I gained experience tutoring in GCSE and A-level subjects. I am choosing to continue to focus my tutoring in psychology and biology given my educational and professional background from my degrees and related work experiences in these subjects. I will be able to help with understanding the content in an accessible way as well as the styles of writing and presenting knowledge that are essential to these scientific subjects. Additionally, with a love of writing and developing original an point of view, alongside having completed by International Baccalaureate diploma with an A in the Extended Essay, I would be confident in guiding a student through the daunting task of completing their EE. I believe in a personalised and collaborative approach to tutoring, while I am happy to prepare materials and lessons for sessions, I strive to create a culture where the student can freely ask questions and have autonomy to guide the focus of work to specific areas within the subject they feel they would benefit the most from.

I have been teaching students for the past 3 years and can teach all levels however my expertise for GCSE is Maths, Accounts, History, Economics and Physics and for A levels its Accounts, Economics and History. I have taught O levels students before and have a substantial amount of experience and passed my GCSE's and A levels with good respectable grades and therefore contain in-depth knowledge of my subjects. Hello, I'm Marie from Oxford, UK. I'm a professional teacher, University Lecturer and Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Trainer. My specialist subjects include Business, Marketing, English Language, Media Studies and Sociology. In my career so far, I've been lucky enough to work with some fantastic education institutions including Universities and Colleges in Oxford and China. I've delivered professional development training to teachers and professional staff from many different countries, and my work has also seen me travel to places such as Russia and Kurdistan. I am passionate about helping my students and clients achieve their goals through education, and I'm equally as happy delivering bespoke training sessions to large groups of staff, teaching a University course, or getting a call from an individual student telling me they've achieved the grade they needed that we worked on in their private study sessions. Before I retrained as a teacher, I worked as a Marketing Manager and Project Manager for a University in Oxford, and these skills and responsibilities have helped to shape my adaptable teaching style and capabilities. I would love to hear from you and find out about your training and education needs, and let's achieve your goals, together.

I am a tutor with over 5 years experience teaching 1-to-1 and with groups. I have a BA Degree in Philosophy from the University of Sussex, an MA degree (also in Philosophy) from King's College London, and am currently working on a PhD at UCL. My area of focus for my PhD lies in examining the intersection between philosophical, theological and psychological discourse. My PhD training has given me many opportunities to present my ideas in front of groups of researchers, which has sharpened my ability to deliver concise and informative lectures. In my many years of experience as a tutor, I have often seen the immediate impact 1-to-1 tuition can make. I have a real passion for helping people to achieve their full potential, and to invigorate their thirst for knowledge. I have seen time and time again that successful students are always the ones who have been inspired by the subject they are studying, and achieving this is my goal as a tutor. Often students, especially those studying humanities, say that they don't 'see the point' in what they are learning, and therefore find it difficult to motivate themselves. Paradoxically, however, once one understands why a certain topic matters, the learning process develops properly, and good exam results are naturally achieved. One of the main problems I have observed is that humanities students expect a 'scientific' approach to work for their exams, in which memorisation and repetition are the foundational elements of revision. However, in the humanities subjects, 'how' one explains something is just as important as 'what' one explains. I always try to give students advice on this important, and often overlooked, point. What always shines through in essays is the depth of the student's engagement with the material. You can't simply memorise notes or learnt answers. Of course, there is a certain amount of exam technique, but the bulk of revision lies in deepening an overall understanding and appreciation for what one is learning. This is what I try to achieve with my students. I am a fluent Italian speaker, and have many years experience teaching beginner, and intermediate aspiring Italian speakers. I have taught at GCSE and A-Level, as well as older students who want a working knowledge of Italian.

I am a Doctor of Psychology with a research and teaching experience at university for B.A., M.A. and PhD level students and professionals. I am specialized in Clinical Psychology (reading disability/ dyslexia), though I have a good knowledge in other fields of psychology, as well as research methods and statistics. I would love to help people with the knowledge I have in individual live one-to-one sessions or on Skype. I can also recommend literature on particular subject and send something I already have in my database. The other thing I can teach you is playing chess. I have 25 years experience of playing myself, I am candidate master of Latvia, having international (FIDE) rating of 2062, which is quite a good level. I have around 5 years experience teaching chess to primary school children and tutoring some adults back in Latvia, and I enjoyed it quite much. I can teach moves and strategies for beginners and help to improve technique of more skilled players, suggesting theory and ideas.

I specialise in Psychology, Religious Studies and Philosophy tutoring at A-level and GCSE level. I've taught many students over the years, both in schools and privately. I am a Bristol University Psychology graduate and have been a volunteer working with young people and children for over 4 years now, with roles of classroom assistant, mentor, and tutor from primary up to A-level. I found these experiences rewarding and enjoyable, which has led me to continue in a more professional capacity as a private tutor. I tutor in Psychology GCSE, A-level, and degree level, English Literature GCSE and A-level, and a range of other subjects up to GCSE level. My experiences have enabled me to develop a flexible tutoring style, whereby I adapt and change my methods to suit each student as I recognise that students have individual needs and abilities. I believe this will help me greatly as a professional tutor alongside my experience. I am a calm yet motivated person, ensuring that I support students in the way that best suits them, and provide a comfortable and supportive atmosphere in which students are able to learn effectively and feel confident in their abilities. I enjoy supporting students and helping them reach their full potential.
