My name is Ziad and I’ve been working as an academic tutor for around 7 years. I completed a BA in Philosophy & Religious Studies graduating with a first-class honours from the University of Kent, Canterbury. I then went on to do a Masters in Philosophy at King's College London where I received a distinction, focusing on Greek Philosophy, Arabic Philosophy, and Philosophy of Religion. During my MA I began working as a note-taker, supporting various students across multiple social sciences, including: Psychology, Sociology, International Relations, and Social Policy. This all further prepared me for my multi-disciplinary PhD thereafter, looking at how the perceptions of Muslims change over time within the social sciences. Working as a note-taker across multiple disciplines also prepared me for my work as an academic tutor as it has given me insight to multiple subject areas. Due to my extensive experience of both working at universities and studying, the academic process is one that I am exceptionally familiar with. I therefore feel confident in tutoring not only students within my studied subjects but also beyond. I would be most interested in supporting students with subjects that require research and essay writing. I have a very relaxed and friendly approach to tutoring. Feedback from previous students has tended to highlight my ability to: explain things in a way that makes ideas and concepts easier to understand; explain academic writing and how to do it; help students not feel overwhelmed, reducing anxiety; help with structuring work and understanding assignment questions, give tips and tools that last with the student, and most importantly, having a positive attitude and always seeing the best in people. Aside from academia, I have a few creative passions and have studied drama and theatre for a good few years. I’ve done quite a bit of acting here and there, and was long listed for both ‘Best Actor’ and ‘Best New Comer’ at the British Independent Film Awards. Hence I’m happy to tutor drama students. I also write and have written for a number of media outlets including the Huffington Post blog. My writing ranges from self-help material to social commentary. But now I’m moving towards screen play writing. I also love to travel and have now been to some 35 countries. Some of these were for voluntary purposes with a charity and these were always the best. Thanks for reading and looking forward to working with you :)

I am a qualified Paediatric nurse, qualified from the University of Birmingham and studied A-level Biology, Chemistry and Psychology. During my degree, I came into contact with many people and I have learnt to adapt to people's individual needs. As a tutor I will be able to help others who need that extra boost and also pick up some skills for myself. It will help me enhance my own skill set when working with people and I would learn something too! I always use my imagination and adapt to the way people learn so that's why they would come to me and I would help them in a way that would be straightforward for them to understand. I have had experience myself being the student and having a tutor help me when I struggled. It helped make my learning a lot easier and I really appreciated the great effort that was taken for them to adapt to my own learning style. As I was quite stuck in my ways when it came to revising, I was taught to explore other ways and I was shown different techniques on how to learn and these really worked well. I have had plenty of experience in Public Speaking starting from a young age and continued throughout my teenage years. I worked in teams and competed against other groups on popular topics; I competed regionally and also nationally. I have experience in speaking in Gujarati quite fluently as I have been brought up for that to be my second language in my family. At A-level I undertook Psychology and loved the subject with a passion, it was my favourite one to learn about and it came naturally to me- that being I achieved an A. As a tutor that is fairly young and understands that each year the curriculum and topics vary in subjects, I will be able to adapt to what was changed and try my best to help!

I am a BSc Psychology graduate who is currently working with the National Tutoring Programme. I have spent over 5 years working as a tutor. Over this time, I have gained a thorough understanding of the national curriculum. I specialise is KS1 & KS2 English, Maths, and 11+ Preparation. I have helped students' study and gain entry to many independent and grammar schools in the Hertfordshire and Harrow area such as; North London Grammar School, Queens’ School, Watford Grammar School for Girls, Watford Grammar School for Boys and Haberdashers' Aske's School for Girls. I also have experience tutoring one to one with home schooled A-level clients. For each lesson, I create my own material and plan the lessons structure and activities. After each lesson, I track the progress of each student using a progress sheet and set targets which would then be discussed further with their parent/carer.

I am offering tuition in a variety of subjects at both primary, secondary and GCSE level. I am an undergraduate student who is currently working as a Teaching Assistant in a school so am very up to date with the current syllabuses and learning techniques. Through working as a TA I have experience working with children on a 1:1 basis helping them develop academically and building their confidence in those subjects which they may struggle or need extra support. I will strategically plan each session so that its tailored to the individuals needs and what they aim to get out of them. I usually have a conversation a week prior to starting tuition to see how I can best help and prepare for the sessions. Where necessary I am happy to give out practice questions if these would benefit the student, mark them and give feedback in order to optimise learning.

I have just graduated with a distinction in MRes Research Methods in Neuroscience from the University of Leicester. Having previously undertaken a degree in Psychology with Cognitive Neuroscience, I am now beginning an MA in Music Theatre at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. My wide variety of interests mean I am able to cover a range of different subjects and topics. I would also encourage the idea that all subjects overlap in some way or another, which furthers understanding. I achieved 11 A*-B GCSEs, including Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English Language and English Literature. My A-Levels were Biology, Psychology and Maths (Statistics). I am more than happy to tutor in any of these subjects. My style is very much student-led, aiming to get to know the student, and then work out how they may best benefit from my lessons. The main focus would be to build confidence and security, as more often than not this is what holds individuals back from progressing further. My previous experience consists of tutoring younger family members, as well as currently tutoring some of my peers on my course in Music Theory. My varied life experience means I am able to connect with people from different backgrounds, and to ultimately build a solid relationship that will enable the student fulfil whatever goals they wish to.

Received A*A*AA at A level for the subjects: Chemistry, Psychology, Biology and History. Received grades ranging from 8 - 6 at GCSE'S, an 8 for English language and 7 for Maths. I was one of the top achiever's at school. Currently a medical student Imperial college london university. I’m in second year. I have a flexible schedule and can also offer last minute tutoring. I give a 5 percent discount on the first lesson. I also have past tutoring experiences. I previously tutored Biology and Chemistry from KS3 to A level to a group of students aged 12 - 18 year olds, as part of bridging the gap program. Students noticed significant improvement in their understanding of concepts and knowledge. I’m tutoring two students GCSE Science and GCSE Maths and another student A level biology. All students are satisfied with how I teach online and have been tutoring with me over 5 months. My students are seeing significant improvement in their class work. I´m Tutoring GCSE science and GCSE maths online. Using a 3 step approach whilst tutoring: 1. Knowledge 2. Practice concepts 3. Exam practice. I use a vigorous and engaging approach whilst tutoring. My tutoring approach is directly tailored to the student, I create a study plan customised to the student after doing two mini tests, a multiple choice to test knowledge and a few exam style questions to test application skills. My approach is to directly target the weaknesses and to maintain and enhance the strengths in a subject. I prefer to use a wide range of resources so both visual and audial learners can benefit. I use my own study resources and also provide these to the students. Preferably, I like to go over a concept and then to cement the knowledge, I use exam questions, thereby the knowledge is perfected and application skills are practiced and improved. Outside of tutoring, I like to read and horse ride.

Hi! I am Aisha. I am a recent graduate of Psychology with Arabic from Manchester Metropolitan University. I have been studying Arabic from a very young age, since primary school. I also studied at an Arabic school for 6 years, so it is correct to say that I am quite fluent and confident with speaking, writing, and reading the Arabic language. After this, I wanted to take Arabic to the next level, hence studied Modern standard Arabic at university, and achieved a first!. Upon completion of the course, I taught Arabic at my local community centre for 2 years. The age range taught was from 6-20 years old, hence I can teach Arabic from a beginners level to an advanced level. I really enjoy teaching and am extremely passionate about it. I also accommodate lessons to suit the learners needs, whether that is learning visually or auditory. My hobbies and interests include, cooking and baking!. I also really enjoy travelling to countries that speak different languages as I have a passion for languages!. I recently visited Morocco, and the people, there spoke Arabic so it was a great experience for me as I had amazing conversations with them!. I also have an A level qualification in the Urdu language and have tutored in Urdu in the past too!

I studied at Culford School and achieved nine GCSE and three A-level grades. For GCSE, I received Maths (A*), Biology (7), Chemistry (7), Physics (7), Physical Education (9) and at A-levels, I received Psychology (A), Physical Education (A*)and Biology (C). Now I study Criminology and Forensic Studies and the University of Portsmouth. I have tutored children in my old school at Culford in afterschool activities with their homework and revision for upcoming tests and exams. I also coach hockey at level 2, which is a form of teaching as you teach children a skill before they have My first lesson will consist of getting to know you and your learning style. The basic structure of my lessons is split into three sections. Firstly introduction activities to your topic, activities that engage the brain. Next is the main part of the sessions, where we would go through the content and then go through questions or a game to embed learning. Finally, to end the session, we would review the session where you tell me how you felt the session went, what I can improve on, what you feel went well and what you still need to work on. I love hockey, competing and coaching. Exercise is good for your mental health, and I love to play hockey; at University, I am on the girls' first team. In my downtime, I love to do some drawing and painting. I am no professional, but it's such a relaxing activity. Singing is another activity I do when I am by myself as it helps me express myself and a chance to belt out my favourite tunes.

Do You Want To Succeed? Of course, you do. That’s why you are here. The REAL question is – how do you succeed? There is no shortage of services and products that claim to help you achieve good grades. We can debate over what works and what doesn’t, but there is one thing we can agree on… Everyone is different. That is why, when it comes to learning, technology will never replace a REAL person who genuinely cares. When I was at school, this very same personal touch from teachers, family and mentors helped me avert disaster. Despite working hard all year, on A-Level results day I walked out of college with Ds and Us – brilliant! I joke about it now, but at the time, those grades really…really hurt. There was nothing I wanted more than to achieve top grades and go to a good university. However, failing my A-levels turned out to be a HUGE blessing in disguise. The sting from those bad grades combined with one-on-one guidance from a tutor, created the perfect conditions for change. After retaking all my exams in one year, I left 6th form with straight A’s and a place at my first-choice university. Many of my exam marks were above 90% and teachers said it was the BIGGEST turn around they had ever seen. Three years later, I walked out of UCL with a FIRST-CLASS honours degree. AND an award from the dean of students for achieving one of the HIGHEST scores in my year group. While working as a derivatives trader in the city, I wrote a series of books to show struggling students how to improve their grades in the same way I did. These books sold over 40,000 copies and held the #1 spot in two Amazon categories for over 3 consecutive years. I was even asked to do a TEDx talk AND invited on to BBC Radio… It wasn’t long before teachers became aware of my approach and asked me to speak directly with their students. I designed a programme for schools and hired some of the most successful students in the country to deliver it. Together, we held workshops up and down the country with AMAZING results. I know how to get students to LISTEN and DO. By gradually changing the beliefs you have about yourself, I'll help you build productive habits that will stay with you forever. One thing is for sure…going into school isn’t enough. Most students know about spaced repetition, active recall and other similar study-skills. Finding the energy and discipline to use these techniques consistently throughout the year is the tricky part – this is where I can help. By combining frequent one-on-one tutoring and sophisticated tracking, I've found a formula that works. SO – if you want to work with me and achieve results like the examples above, keep reading… STEP 1: DO THIS NOW Drop me a message with your: 1. Subjects 2. Exam boards 3. Year of exams (e.g. summer 2020) STEP 2: HERE'S WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT Once you’ve contacted me, I will call you to speak more about your current situation and gather more information so I can accurately plan out how to help you. Your initial call will be between 15 and 20 minutes. This is where we really begin working to figure out exactly what you need, and how to make it happen. At that point if you see the value in working together, great. We’ll talk and see if I’m able to take you on as a tutee. If you don’t want to move forward, that’s fine too. Worst case you would have received some free advice that will help you perform better. Whatever you decide, I hope you found my story inspiring and best of luck for this year!

My name is Vicky, I am a newly qualified primary school teacher, looking to share my love of learning with enthusiastic students. My A-Levels are in Psychology (B), English Literature (B) and Sociology (C). I have completed my Psychology BSc at Keele university, obtaining a first class honours award. I went on to complete an MSc in Clinical Neurodevelopmental Sciences, an autism-focussed degree at Kings College London, in which I achieved a Merit. Finally, I have completed my PGCE this year, and my qualified teacher status certificate is due to come through in August. I want to become a tutor to share my love of Psychology and English Literature. I feel both subjects are incredibly diverse, there are so many areas of interest to explore. Additionally to this, I completely relate to those who may find some areas of these subjects more challenging. A particularly common such area within Psychology is research methods. I myself struggled with this topic throughout A-Level and at the beginning of my undergraduate degree, and was encouraged by my university tutors that several students struggle with this area; one told me "you're not the first, and you certainly won't be the last". I worked hard on this topic and went on to achieve several first-class grades in research method exams, and distinctions in both my BSc and MSc dissertations. I hope prospective students who may relate find this encouraging. In terms of my tutoring style, I very much believe in a student-led approach to teaching. Prior to commencement of tutoring, we will agree on a "subject roadmap", per se, of what we aim to achieve in the sessions. I will then conduct sessions according to the areas of development established by the student, and keep detailed progress records to ensure we are on track. If there is a particularly difficult area, we will persevere and adapt to various different methods until the student feels comfortable that they understand. There is always a way. As a primary teacher, I am used to keeping classes of young children engaged for long periods of time. Therefore, I feel I can make sessions fun and exciting, and adapt my style to the individual needs of the student. Outside of my professional life, my interests include classic literature, history and music (violin, guitar, piano, and singing). I am also interested in SEND inclusion; I have worked in an inclusion school as a 1:1 support assistant and have grown up alongside a cousin with severe autism. I am eager to adapt my lessons to include all SEND students. I believe every child has a right to be encouraged to achieve their full potential. Qualified Primary School Teacher Experience with AQA, OCR and EdExcel

Do you think Science is abstract, tedious, and hard to understand? Do you find yourself wondering if it was possible to understand all the concepts in Biology, Chemistry, Medicine? Hi! I am Veronica, a graduate of Anatomy at Bingham University, and currently a 4th-year Medical Student. I have a Diploma in each of the infectious diseases like (Tuberculosis, COVID-19, Poliomyelitis) from the World Health Organisation (WHO), and also The Brain and Space from Duke University. This has prompted me to gain more insights into the pandemic, its spread, and how it can be prevented and controlled. I have been a tutor since 2014 with students of different categories(beginner, advanced, average, college, and researchers in the field of Medicine). I teach Medical Science related courses like Biology (advanced and high school), Biochemistry (including chemistry), Pharmacology, Physiology(including Pathomorphology), Oncology, Neurosurgery, Pediatrics, and Anatomy. I also teach different specifics in Biology like (AP Biology, IB Biology, GRE Biology, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetics, and GSCE Biology). I have also aided many scientists especially researchers in pharmaceutical companies, Microbiology, Industrial Chemistry, Human Genome Project, and Biochemistry. My certification and experience in Medical outreach to educate the inhabitants of rural areas (concerning Sickle Cell Anemia, HIV & AIDS, Cervical Cancer ) have widened the scope of students taught by me. I am fluent in English. I use everyday concepts to aid the students in understanding the basics in every course and make learning fun and exciting. Learning aids like pictures, diagrams, notes, mnemonics, and even videos are used to make learning simple, easy to memorize, and understand. Assistance will be given to students with external exams like SAT, GCSE, IB Exams who aim to prepare vigorously to score excellently. Science is no longer abstract but REAL!!! Nothing, no task, and no one is IMPOSSIBLE!
