I studied at Culford School and achieved nine GCSE and three A-level grades. For GCSE, I received Maths (A*), Biology (7), Chemistry (7), Physics (7), Physical Education (9) and at A-levels, I received Psychology (A), Physical Education (A*)and Biology (C). Now I study Criminology and Forensic Studies and the University of Portsmouth. I have tutored children in my old school at Culford in afterschool activities with their homework and revision for upcoming tests and exams. I also coach hockey at level 2, which is a form of teaching as you teach children a skill before they have My first lesson will consist of getting to know you and your learning style. The basic structure of my lessons is split into three sections. Firstly introduction activities to your topic, activities that engage the brain. Next is the main part of the sessions, where we would go through the content and then go through questions or a game to embed learning. Finally, to end the session, we would review the session where you tell me how you felt the session went, what I can improve on, what you feel went well and what you still need to work on. I love hockey, competing and coaching. Exercise is good for your mental health, and I love to play hockey; at University, I am on the girls' first team. In my downtime, I love to do some drawing and painting. I am no professional, but it's such a relaxing activity. Singing is another activity I do when I am by myself as it helps me express myself and a chance to belt out my favourite tunes.

I am currently a Principal Clinical Psychologist leading a mental health service in the NHS. I completed my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology at UCL and worked as a Trainee Clinical Psychologist in the NHS. I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Education at McGill University, Canada. I specialized in developmental psychology during my MSc. Studies at the Anna Freud Center, UCL. Over the course of my academic, clinical and professional careers, I tutored undergraduate students with their prerequisite psychology courses (Introduction to Psychology, Statistics, Behavioural Neuroscience, Perception, Cognition). I have multiple years of experience working with hard-to-reach, hard-to-engage students in different complex settings. I am an experienced IB tutor in psychology and TOK. In addition, I mentor students with their university applications and personal statements (UCAS, Canadian & US applications). I believe in open, encouraging and attuned teaching. My basic tutoring approaches are to guide students to discover what type of learning style works for them; gain lots of feedback and tailor the sessions to suit the learning needs of students; combine multiple visual and creative strategies to encourage learning. I love to practice mindfulness and encourage all my students to use mindfulness strategies to deal with the different stressors in their lives. I am also a big fan of spoken word poetry.

Teaching is my Passion but just a profession. I started teaching at a tender age of 12 and since then I've been teaching students from the age of 3 up to 74. I have taught Business, Economics, Accounting, Math, English, Sociology, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Politics, Geography and History for GCSE/ OL and Advanced Level examinations for popular local and international exam boards including Cambridge, Edexcel, OCR and AQA. During my 22 years of formal school teaching career and more than 25 years of tutoring, I have produced most World Prize Winners who scored 600/600 for the above subjects in the above mentioned examinations consecutively over many years. I have also lectured at Universities and tutored for undergraduates, post graduates and PhD students and helped with their assignments and assessments over the years. My classes are interactive and fun to learn which make the students love not just like the subject. I discuss a range of past exam questions, self-prepared exams and training the students to improve their writing skills in theory subjects and improve their analytical skills in other. My most important asset of all is my flexibility and adaptability to the individual requirements and needs of each student and preparing myself accordingly. This skill I have gained by teaching students of all culture and age groups from 63 different countries. Demo lessons I’ve attached some links below of my demo lessons which will give an idea on my teaching methodology. Please feel free to contact me if you have any more queries. I am currently a research assistant at the University of Cambridge, conducting research in the field of immunology. I am a Master's alumni of Biochemistry from University College London (UCL). I previously graduated from Queen Mary, University of London with a BSc in Biochemistry. I have over 5 years and 500+ hours worth of teaching experience focusing on Biology and Chemistry A-level, covering all exam boards. I gained my initial experience in tutoring by taking part in a tutoring programme which aimed to integrate students of the upper and lower sixth form years to provide personalized tutoring. Through this experience, I have helped a diverse group of students to achieve their full potential and be accepted into their top university choices. I believe that the best way to alleviate stress and anxiety in the context of academic learning is by tailoring and controlling your learning outside of the classroom. I take pride in providing personally tailored goals to enhance my students' learning, so that they can achieve their academic goals, in a pace and depth of understanding that fits their academic needs. My teaching approach is initially based upon identifying gaps and weaknesses of my students' knowledge, which may be hindering their progress in a specified subject. I then design my lessons around these sets of gaps and weaknesses, with accompanying lessons that reinforce the other course material that the student is currently covering. I believe that as a tutor, one of the major responsibilities is to promote the confidence of your students. I aim to achieve this by maintaining an encouraging atmosphere, where the students can feel relaxed and comfortable in, to ultimately nurture their learning in the years to come!

Before I retrained as a teacher, I worked as a Marketing Manager and Project Manager for a University in Oxford, and these skills and responsibilities have helped to shape my adaptable teaching style and capabilities. I studied for my GCSEs and A-levels at Wallington High School for Girls. In my GCSEs, I have achieved 10 grade 9s, 1 grade 8, 1 grade 7 and an A*. Upon completion of my A levels, I have obtained an A* in Mathematics, A* in Psychology, A in Biology and an A* in Tamil. I currently study MSci Biological Sciences at UCL. The reason I love tutoring is the satisfaction it gives me. Watching my students push through to reach their full potential pushes me to keep tutoring. I have tutored students aged 5-16, both in real life and online, in the past two and a half years, subjects including Mathematics, English, 11+, GCSE Biology and GCSE Mathematics. My lessons are tailored to the needs of my students. I check in with my students every lesson to see if there's any specific topics that they need help in, so that I can plan my next lesson using the topics stated, whilst also making sure to completely teach the course that is being taught throughout the period that I tutor. I love to use interactive exercises and talk about exam tips to help my students achieve the greatest mark possible, while also conducting exam-style practice to see how they are improving throughout the tutoring I have given. Appropriate feedback will always be given, to the parents/guardians of the students if preferred as well. I love dancing and listening to some music! I've been dancing since the age of 5 and it's a great part of who I am. I also love to read books, as I find that it helps me wind down from daily life.

How to write a 16 marker essay in Psychology?

The 16 marker essays in Psychology take skill to write. You need a strong introductory statement (or argument), use a minimum of 3 case studies to back up your point, and a counter argument. You also need to analyse the evidence and the flaws of experimental studies, to show an objective view. All this information should back up your argument and be stated in a conclusion.

What are the 5 goals of Psychology?

The 5 basic goals of Psychology are to: describe (or observe behaviour). explain, predict, control and improve. Psychologists aim to observe people's behaviour objectively and describe how it impacts the person (or society as a whole). Then, they suggest what changes can be made to reverse adverse effects.
