Hi, I am offering my services as a GCSE 11+ Maths and Computer Studies Tutor. I am also looking for students who are interested in learning programming languages such as C, JAVA, C# & PYTHON. I am currently enrolled in Ph.D. (Computer Science) as a fulltime student at the University of Bradford. I have a strong grasp of primary and secondary Maths. Students having difficulty in the English language can also contact me. I teach my students in a way that they like attending my classes. In teaching maths, I first give them a clear picture of the topic and give them real examples so that their interest gets developed and they are willing to learn more.

• I have the skill of adapting my teaching methods to the ways in which students learn, as I understand every student has their own unique way of learning. The interpersonal skills I hold play a significant part in my ability to achieve this. • Further skills I have is good time-management. This is a very important skill to possess as there are many deadlines that must be met for the student, and to be able to meet these deadlines effectively, as a tutor you have to manage your time appropriately within and outside the hours of the job. Any delays can leave you with more work to complete and can add further pressure to yourself as well as the students. • Good organisational skills are another key skill which I possess. I have picked up this skill and refined it well during my time in education and in my work experience. By being organised you can complete tasks quicker and more efficiently, as it reduces any anxiety and stress which are difficult problems that one can face, and provides you with extra motivation to do as much work as possible and to your best standard. This will consequently reflect on your attitude when in the working and learning environment, surrounded by children.

Being an electrical engineering student, my academic interests always lied in mathematics and physics. Both the subjects were objective and often had a very clear answer; the part that intrigued me quite often was to find whether different methods existed to find the same unique answer. This started quite early on from my IGCSE days and had continued until now during university and has kept the interest sparking within the students themselves. For the last 5 years, I have tutored students ranging from 1st year IGCSE students to final year ALevel/IB students. Through my experience, I have developed the key skills required for being an efficient tutor for students. Most of my experience is around mathematics and sciences (GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A-Level) and particularly, GCSE sciences (physics, chemistry and biology). In terms of curriculum, I personally did the Edexcel IGCSE syllabus( achieving 3A*s with an average of 93%) and currently tutor 2 children for their Edexcel GCSE syllabus (triple and double science) and 1 Alevel physics student. Having done the subject myself relatively recently, I am aware of how to maximise marks with regards to exam but at the same time teach the content such that the student appreciates it and fully understands each major detail. Within 10 weeks, I have helped both my students improve their grade by an average 2 grade points (based on class tests). The same applies for mathematics with most of my experience coming in Cambridge mathematics for IGCSE and GCSE. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

I'm an experienced science and language tutor with more than 10 years of teaching. SCIENCES I'm doing a PhD in Biology at the University of Oxford and have taught both within the university and in private summer schools in Oxford on the topic. I teach both high school students who need help preparing for exams, as well as university students who want to go in-depth within a certain subject or understand course material. My methods focus on applied learning, which means I'll help you understand why it is important to learn something and what you can do with that knowledge, not just how to learn. My teaching method for A-level students focuses on problem-based learning similar to university admissions interviews. I am comfortable teaching younger students in a variety of science subjects, including students with learning difficulties. You can expect a very fun, hands-on approach to learning. LANGUAGES I have extensive experience in teaching IELTS and other language exams (CPE, TOEFL). I have taught students successfully at the last minute. My approach is very tailored to the individual, so we would focus on the most effective techniques for the student. I have studied Spanish for over 10 years and obtained the highest certificate in Spanish as Foreign Language (DELE) with distinction. I was awarded first prize in many Spanish international competitions. For four years, I did courses in Spanish geography, history and culture, and I normally use what I learned to make my classes interactive and more than a way of teaching a language. I like immersing people in the Spanish culture, with its food, dances, famous painters and explorers. Have taught Spanish as foreign language for more than ten years, in one-to-one and one-to-few sessions. I adapt my style to the students I work with - for one, it can be all about having fun while translating lyrics of famous songs and watching Spanish short films (audio, experiential learners); for another it can be about rigorously tackling grammar and crafting complex stories. Regardless of the approach, you should expect that after a year of weekly/fortnightly classes you would advance by two levels (e.g. A2 to B2). I wholeheartedly recommend trying learning a language from a non-native speaker, as the way a foreign language is learned is very different from a native tongue. If you speak foreign languages, you know what I mean. If not, just give it a go!

I have spent most of my adult life formally teaching and learning. The teaching I have done has been mostly in primary school, of primary school age children outside school, and of privately run dance classes; the formal learning I have done has been mostly in literature doing a BA, MA and currently a PhD. Love of the world and a desire to share inspires me. I was a supply teacher and KS2 class teacher at Hyde Park Prep School before I decided to dedicate my time to being a writer, and although I appreciate schools and classes I particularly enjoy teaching individuals, discovering the quirks of their abilities and finding the specific best ways to help them to learn and love the subject. Academic success follows enthusiasm and appreciation. As well as adoring literature (studying and writing) I love all the arts. As well as dancing (flamenco, with an emphasis on timing and rhythm) , I was a ten year member of a surprisingly good children's Jazz sextet (I played the saxophone), I draw and paint and am currently co-curating an exhibition for The Attenborough Gallery in Leicester. Whatever the subject is I believe that it can and should be loved (and if not, then it should not be taught!); I believe that education is about drawing out not pouring in.

I was born and educated in England. I have resided in Canterbury, Leeds, Oxford, London, Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Oswestry. I gained five 'A Levels' (AAABC) at Notre Dame 6th Form College (Leeds) before attending Oxford University where I obtained Degrees in Philosophy and French. I proceeded to do Postgraduate studies in London where I was semi-resident at the British Library (1993-1998). I have been a widely published author since 1999, being the author of dozens of essays and monographs in Philosophy, Comparative Literature, Poetry and Psychology. I am co-author of the self-help book 'Reading in No Time' and author of the forthcoming publication 'French in No Time' (2020). He is a member of MENSA, the BAJ (British Assoc. of Journalists) and A3M (Academy of the 3rd Millennium). I am currently editor of the 'Nobel Prize Collection' for Living Time Books. I have taught pupils from KS1 to Postgraduate Level in the UK and abroad. I undertake an equal amount of group-teaching (lecturing/seminars/classroom) and individual tutoring (mentoring/coaching/private tutorials). I have taught in Switzerland (Geneva, Basel), France (Paris), Germany (Berlin, Munich), Italy (Milan) Poland (Krakow, Warsaw) and Slovakia (Bratislava). I am a native English speaker and also a fluent speaker of French and German. I am highly experienced in teaching children and adults with special educational needs - including Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Aspergers, Pathological Demand Avoidance), ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia and other developmental conditions. I am quoted as saying: "Everyone can learn - it doesn't matter how differently we do so!" I specialize in GCSEs, A Levels, Entrance Exams and assistance with Dissertations, Essays, Theses & Coursework. I have explained my approach to teaching in the following way: "With every person that I teach, whether they are before me as an individual or as part of a group, first of all I take time to observe the way in which they learn - their own particular mode of processing information. Then, once I have understood their learning processes - be they visual, verbal, concrete, mathematical, or a combination of these - I customize my own teaching approach to that student's optimum mode of intake. This usually goes a large way toward maximizing their learning experience. What I find is of vital importance in the learning journey - and which is largely responsible for making it successful - is identifying with crystal clarity the exact goals which are to be attained. I make sure that my students do not lose sight of their goal and I make sure that their 'will-to-achieve' stays at a top level throughout the educational process. Without a goal, motivation falters".

An enthusiastic and dedicated tutor set on ensuring that your child reaches the academic goals that he/she has set for themselves. Absolutely in love with Math, Physics and Chemistry. Currently studying for a Masters in Chemical Engineering at Imperial College London, one of the most prestigious universities in the world. My approach to tutoring is rather simple; I believe that enthusiasm and hard work are key elements when it comes to achieving academic success. I personally feel that I am able to spark enthusiasm and interest in the subject mater that is being tutored to your child and that this will subsequently lead to your child excelling in said subject. I understand that different people have different learning methods. Having tutored many students over the past 3 years, I can assure you that I am able to adapt to this and that I will tailor the session to the needs of your child. This way, the child will make the most out of the session.Being an ex member of the National Debate Squad for 5 consecutive years, I believe that I am to convey and present content in a way is well received by my audience, or in this case, the tutee. I am able to tutor Maths, Physics, Further Mathematics and Chemistry in multiple exam boards including, OCR, CIE, Edexcel and AQA. I am currently based in South Kensington and am willing to travel to provide in-home tuition as well as online sessions.

I have tutored both in schools and privately since September 2018, along with 3 years of SEN mentoring of college students. I have tutored Biology, Chemistry, Combined Science, Maths, English and Psychology since September, but can also tutor subjects listed in my profile. I am very willing to adapt my tutoring style to the student's needs as this is what I believe makes the sessions more successful, as well as boosting their overall academic confidence, which contributes to better exam performance. I also have experience working in university admissions, so I am very capable in assisting AS and A-Level students in ensuring they have a strong applicant profile for university, and guiding GCSE students to help them figure out the steps they need to take to get in to university in the future.

I have worked as a professional tutor and educational consultant for six years. I have taught dozens of students for thousands of hours in total. I have also worked as a teacher in an independent school in North London. I have had many successful students; a few examples include: >Two admitted to study HSPS at Cambridge. >One admitted to all three of Westminster, Winchester, and St.Paul's for 13+. >One who gained 84/84 marks in his A-Level Politics Paper 2, which is now being used as an exemplar. >One who gained an A in A-Level History after being predicted a C. I believe that the most important virtue in a tutor is the ability to empathise with a student's cognitive position. When teaching I aim to guide a student through the mental steps needed to accomplish the goal of the lesson. I typically spend much of a lesson in dialogue with the student. I break this up with exercises to embed and reinforce key points, but I always end the lesson with a call to reflection on what the student has learned. I emphasise that knowledge is open-ended and interconnected. I grew up in Oxfordshire, England, and read Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Oxford University. I work as a full-time self-employed tutor and consultant. In my spare time I am learning Arabic, and I have been a published author in author on religion and current affairs in two different international periodicals. I have lived in China, Uganda, and Morocco.
