Hello, I'm Celene, a PhD graduate in Applied Mathematics from the University of Nottingham. My research focused on the numerical and asymptotic analysis of nonlocal travelling wave equations, and I hold a First-class Honors MSc in Applied Mathematics from the University of Manchester.
As a tutor at a college in Nottingham, I bring over ten years of tutoring experience, working with students of all ages and abilities, from primary school to university levels, both in-person and online. In 2021, I was honoured with the Postgraduate Teaching Assistant Award from the University of Nottingham for my demonstrative work in the School of Mathematical Sciences. Methodology:
Everyone learns at a different pace, so I tailor our one-to-one tutoring sessions specifically for you. In our initial discussion, I'll assess your abilities, identify areas for improvement, and discuss your goals. Alternatively, I can test you on various topics to pinpoint areas needing extra support.
Based on this information, I'll create a comprehensive plan for our initial lessons, where I'll explain topics using examples before guiding you through a range of questions with increasing difficulty. We'll conclude by tackling an exam question related to the topic, fostering confidence. Each tutorial will also include review sessions to reinforce previous topics, as mathematics is about practice, practice, practice!
