A bit about myself:
My name is Ihtishaam and I am a Chemical Engineering graduate from Imperial College London. I have a strong proven academic track record. In my A Levels, I studied Maths (A*), Chemistry (A*), Physics (A) & AS Economics (A) and got 10 A*-B in my GCSEs. I have 2 years of online tutoring experience and my greatest achievement so far has been boosting a student's grade from an E to an A in the matter of months! I also have some in-person tutoring experience from tutoring in a tuition centre, working with KS3, GCSE & A Level students in a classroom setting. I tutored 4-5 students at a time in Maths, Physics & Chemistry as I have a strong understanding of these subjects. During this time, I developed many transferable skills that can be applied to my sessions. I grew my communication skills by giving clear explanations to students when teaching them a concept, built a friendly relationship with my students, improved myself at scheduling the session, and developed my problem-solving and mentoring skills when challenged to tackle difficult questions from students.
My approach:
I was lucky enough to be tutored during my school years, and it helped with my performance in school massively, so I know how important it is to have a great tutor! Every student is different, thus the lessons are personally tailored to cater to the individual needs of each student. For those students who are more independent, they will be supported with any specific problems/weaknesses they have in the subject, along with exam technique so they have the best chances of success on exam day. On the other hand, with students who have fallen behind in class and struggle to grasp the subject in its entirety, they will be handheld in every step by being taught concepts from the bottom up, allowing the student to fill gaps in their knowledge and regain a solid understanding of class material.
The lessons are designed to help students in overcoming difficulties and uncertainties in the subject, and simplify concepts that can initially be seen as complex. As a tutor with 2 years of experience and having taught numerous students, I am very understanding and patient, and I'm happy to go over the same thing as many times as it takes to make sure the concept is understood properly. I am known to be someone who can explain things clearly, and I bring this trait to my lessons. Previous students of mine have seen tremendous improvements in their grades and have thoroughly enjoyed my approach to teaching. My lesson environment is aimed to be as friendly and engaging as possible, and is definitely no place to judge anyone.

The mark schemes is very specific for GCSE and Alevel exams and the students often dont know how to answet the question properly despite having the knowledge .So it is vital that they practise those questions after they gained the knowledge with an experienced teacher to secure a high grade in exams.
