My name is Samuel and I graduated from Cambridge University in 2007 with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering. In addition to this, I hold a Professional Tutoring Certificate (Distinction awarded) and I am a fully qualified teacher too. I have a passion for teaching/tutoring Mathematics and Sciences (mostly Physics, Chemistry and Biology) to GCSE and A-level students. I have mentored and tutored students from an assorted array of backgrounds since 2002, helping some to get to Oxbridge and Ivy League universities and helping them with interview preparations when requested. My teaching journey started in 2002 when I took a year out working as an assistant/support teacher actively involved in mentoring, lesson planning and marking. I take pride in having been commended for my teaching style where I always ensure to explain everything in the simplest of manners and take an approach that most suits the student to bring out their best effort. After graduating from Cambridge, I went on to seek professional employment as a graduate engineer but never left my passion for teaching. I therefore volunteered as a STEM ambassador where I shared my passion for Science and Mathematics to students from various backgrounds. I continue to take utmost joy and pleasure in tutoring and helping students attain their full potential; and in this regard, I can assure any prospective students that they’ll be getting the most out of their time and money whilst paving way for a bright future.

I have taught over 500 students at GCSE and A-Level, in addition to running afterschool revision workshops and engineering clubs. Each of my classes has graduated with an above average A* - C pass rate, with the vast majority going on to top UK universities. As well as teaching, I can offer assistance with UCAS applications and personal statements, particularly in my University subject of MSci Physics with Theoretical Physics. I will teach students of GCSE, BTEC, IB and A-Level Maths and Physics of all ability levels, ensuring that each tutee gets their time in the spotlight to work on what they really need. My lessons will be divided into interactive instructions, in-depth question time, followed by practice with full feedback. I believe that students learn best in a comfortable environment where they are curious about the subject, and I try my utmost to ensure each lesson is interesting for every student. I can also create tests with full marking and written feedback for students whose chief concern is improving their exam performance.

I have a BSc in Chemical Engineering (2.1) with a Masters degree (Distinction) in Natural Gas Engineering from a UK University. I have been fortunate to work as a Process Engineer in one of the largest Oil and gas companies in the world for 10 years. Whilst practicing engineering, I was also a part time private Tutor; teaching and mentoring students in Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and some Engineering modules at University Level. I am accustomed with in-depth knowledge of UK school curriculum and necessary skills required to pass UK 11+/12+/13+, GCSE, IGCSE, SATS, and A-Level Examination (AQA, Edexcel, OCR), and I have been preparing students for these exams for the past 20 years. I discovered my natural calling is to impact humanity with the knowledge and passion that I have, as a result I left the Engineering sector a year ago so as to allow me have more time with students. Impacting the lives of students positively gives me fulfilment and joy. I love to share knowledge and empower the younger generation. I am skilled at conveying complex mathematical and scientific concept in a simple and concise manner and I am an advocate of lifelong Learning. I have Tutored/Mentored over 200 students for Medical and Engineering/Technology related courses across various universities in the UK, USA, Canada and Africa in the last 15 years. 96% of my (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics) students get A or A* score in GCSE, IGCSE and A-levels Exams every year. Asides being a Tutor, so many students have been motivated with my wealth of experience and teaching methods. My support has helped many students get scholarships in Top Universities in the UK, Canada and US; and my passion is centred around improving children's confidence in Mathematics and science subjects so that they can have good foundation. I constantly engage my students with effective motivating conversations that help them discover their skills and abilities that can enhance confidence. Some students only require a good Tutor that can motivate them to success. I have a strong passion for success, and that has helped me personally. I always get good result when I am dedicated to my work. I want every student I teach to excel even beyond their expectations.

I'm a student at the university of Bath and if there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I love mathematics. From simple word problems to integrating complex functions, mathematics is a powerful (and beautiful) tool in understanding the world we live in. I believe the key to success in mathematics is a combination of a strong and thorough understanding of the theory underlying a topic, along with plenty of practice applying it to real exam questions. I aim to develop this complete understanding with my students by introducing a topic from first principles, building upon the student's existing knowledge, I've tutored privately for over 5 years during which I've met an overwhelming range of different students, all of which have helped me establish a teaching method adaptable to any kind of learner. So whether you're a confident student or feel like you're lagging behind in class, my adaptive teaching method will ensure that you are pushed in the right places and encouraged in others.

Hello! My name is Luka, I have been tutoring maths online for students from KS3 to degree level, and science from KS3 to A-level levels for the past 5 years. I hope to inspire as many students as possible with my passion for maths, science, economics, engineering and technology! At school I achieved A* grades in maths, further maths, physics and chemistry A-Levels and went on to achieve a 1st in an integrated masters in maths at Imperial College London. I spent over 3 years working in financial services and became the team lead for around 15 analysts. The last 1.5 years of this job was conducted remotely which gave me a lot of experience in operating, communicating and training individuals online. My passion for teaching stems from my eagerness to be constantly learning and the satisfaction that comes with helping others gain insights in understanding and new enthusiasm for a subject. If you can enjoy learning then the whole experience becomes a lot more positive! I feel that my university studies and subsequent industry experience have given me the knowledge and communication skills necessary to be able to motivate students and help them to succeed beyond their presumed potential. My broad aim when tutoring is to provide students with a stronger fundamental understanding of the relevant concepts in a subject, such that they are better equipped with knowledge and confidence to tackle problems that they have not seen before. Critically important to achieving this is appreciating a student’s current understanding in a subject so that learning can begin at the correct level with robust foundations and fundamental gaps can be addressed. This is something that I try to continuously evaluate through informal discussions and exercises with the pupil, so that learning continues at the correct pace and in the correct direction. This naturally gives rise to teaching approaches that vary between students such that knowledge/understanding gained per hour is maximised for each student. I would rather spend an hour ensuring comprehension of one idea than covering many topics that are not properly understood by the student. Nevertheless, once I am confident that a topic is well understood by a student, I will not hesitate to try building on it with the next topic. In general I think it can be beneficial to mentor students beyond their age. Learning year 10 maths makes year 9 maths a whole lot easier and is not fundamentally more difficult, just requires a solid grasp of the latter.

Hello, my name is Lavan and I am currently a postgraduate studying for a PhD in Computational Chemistry at University College London (UCL). My methods of teaching vary from student to student as I cater towards their individual styles of learning. That being said, the one thing I do emphasise to all my students is that understanding the topics is much more important than just to solely memorise something. This is achieved by starting from the very basics and building from there, whilst simultaneously giving them structured methods which make it easy to remember crucial things from each topic. A typical lesson would be as follows: ●;;;; We start by going through any doubts from the homework that was set from the previous lesson. ●;;;; This is followed by teaching the next topic (new content) – emphasising key points that are highlighted on the specification. ●;;;; Next, we work through questions from various textbooks. To begin with, there would be guidance for each question and by the end of the lesson my students will attempt the question with minimal help from me. ●;;;; Finally, we go through any remaining doubts that have arisen throughout the lesson or any problems that need to be clarified from their school or university. Closer towards the exams my efforts would be focused towards two crucial skills. The first being exam technique and the second being timing. The approach I take for this is by going through multiple past papers and mock tests. This helps me to understand where my students need to improve and thus where to focus my attention for the upcoming lessons. In addition to this, I give my students tips and tricks that I have developed over my time as a student. I love teaching and especially teaching the sciences, so let me help your child truly excel in their subjects.

Through my 2-year journey during International Baccalaureate (IB), I learnt that the most crucial element in success is the bond between a student and the teacher. Although I had some "bad" teachers in the past, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my teachers in Bromsgrove School. For the last 4 years, I have been creating a bond between me and my tutees which lasts to this day. As my IB journey was not too long ago, I can relate with all problems you are facing. Therefore, I can assure you, our lessons together will overcome any problems in Maths, Physics and Economics whether it is A Levels or IB.

I am currently studying towards my PhD degree in Mathematics at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) and at the same time, since 2017 I am employed by QMUL as a Teaching Associate for various Schools within the college. Being employed as a Teaching Associate for the Schools of Mathematical, Biological and Engineering Sciences at QMUL equipped me with a certain level of initiative and commitment when it comes to resolving complex situations that may arise within the classroom. The modules I have taught range from “Probability & Statistics” to “Data Analytics with Excel”, always within the field of Mathematics and Physics. I am experienced in submitting accurate reports and working efficiently within a team, due to my PhD course. Apart from my academic teaching experience, since 2018 I have been employed as a Private-Tutor for Kaleido Tutors London as well as BE Education, where I had the opportunity to teach students of various ages on Mathematics and Physics for GSCEs, A-Levels and Cambridge Pre-U. Moreover, I familiarized myself with online tutoring, by providing lessons over Skype for students who were not able to physically attend the session. This taught me how to continuously engage with students and enhanced my ability to correctly evaluate situations where students lack the understanding of important notions related to the subject taught. During 2018-2019, I was employed as an Application Consultant at the Careers & Enterprise Center for the Careers Group UCL & QMUL where I learned how to quickly build rapport and provide targeted advice to students, with respect to their Oxbridge & Greater London Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes applications. I specialized in applications concerning degrees in Natural Sciences (Mathematics, Physics) but I also got valuable experience in Engineering and Biology subjects. Moreover, I prepared the students for their upcoming interviews for their placement by providing mock-interviews and various methods to answer difficult questions. These one-to-one appointments taught me how to handle personal data with discretion.

Is a physics tutor in Leeds worth it?

Whether or not you're hoping to pursue physics at a higher level, scoring well at GCSE level is vital for your future. You can prevent poor physics results from bringing down your average with our experienced physics tutors in Leeds. They will give you the one-on-one attention needed to get your grades up. They will help you sharpen your exam technique and apply your knowledge effectively and efficiently. So a physics tutor is a worthy investment.

How much does a physics tutor in Leeds cost?

We aim to provide tuition affordably and accessibly so physics tutors in Leeds start at £20 per hour. Rates increase depending on the experience level of the tutor.

Need some extra help with physics?

It won’t surprise anyone to know that many students struggle with physics. Of all the sciences it perhaps has the least appealing reputation. However, this is a shame because physics is a fascinating subject that can illuminate many areas of enquiry that may interest you if you enjoy finding out how the mechanics of the world work. So, investing in a tutor who can help you tackle its inherent difficulties and appreciate how intriguing the subject can be is something we strongly advise.

Private tuition is no longer for the privileged few; Tutor House offers affordable tuition for people of all backgrounds and academic levels. As we all know, classrooms tend to offer a one-size-fits all approach that fails to take into consideration students’ individual learning styles. This is no one’s fault; a roomful of 30 students makes it difficult to accommodate everybody. But it means that many find themselves in need of an extra presence who will give them the one-on-one attention that is necessary for them to thrive.

Your physics tutor in Leeds will provide you with just that. If velocity and acceleration make you weep or atom structure’s got you on your knees, your Physics tutor will walk you through each of these areas slowly and clearly. Together you will work on past papers, helping you sharpen your exam technique and become confident in applying your knowledge in assessments. And, thanks to our sophisticated virtual learning setup, this can all be done from the comfort of your own home in Leeds.

To start private physics tuition in Leeds, contact our team for advice on the most suitable tutor for you. You’ll then be able to book a free trial call to establish whether your approaches gel. We look forward to hearing from you!
