I am currently a business lecture at UCB , however, I have experience of teaching primary, secondary, 11 plus and assignment support at HE level. Teaching has always been a passion and I am extremely dedicated to my job role. I enjoy all types of teaching and have taught all ages and in all types of environments. Alongside teaching English, maths, and science, etc, I also like to focus on the child’s holistic development which I believe is pivotal. I also do private tutoring online on one to one basis and group sessions. I like to teach my children through joyful interaction which assists them in reaching their full potential and achieving above and beyond their level of expectations. I have seen dramatic improvements from children who started off with very little or no English-speaking skills at all in becoming the highest achievers, furthermore, receiving recognition and awards in their educational institutions. I am very soft-hearted towards the children I teach, nevertheless, this does not mean that they can get away with not completing their studies. I am extremely flexible and can easily adapt quickly to new situations. You will find me highly empathic towards the children and very understanding, regardless of their age. All people big or small should be treated with the utmost respect. I do my best to dedicate my spare time to supporting charity events, group talks, and teaching children.

Hi there! I have a MSc in theoretical physics at Imperial College. I graduated from the University of Bath in 2015 with a first class degree in Physics, and spent a year on placement working at a Laser facility in Oxford as part of my degree. Whilst undertaking my postgraduate studies I'm residing at my family home in St Johns Wood and am willing to travel far and wide to reach a wide range of tutees. I grew up in London and attended Highgate School and UCS where I achieved 9 A/A* grades at GCSE and A-levels in Physics (A), Maths (A), and Economics (B). Whilst attending school I received some personal tuition, which was a great help and took vast amounts of pressure from my shoulders; allowing me to pursue extra-curricular activities. This was extraordinarily beneficial when it came to applying to University, and provided a solid base for me to chase my academic dream. In my leisure time I like to spend time broadening my knowledge outside of physics, taking a keen interest in philosophy and literature; utilising the Imperial’s substantial offline and online resources to accommodate my interest. In my year off between secondary education and University, I traveled to China for two months to study Kung-Fu. Before heading out to the far east, I took a beginners course in mandarin so I could communicate with the locals, to make the experience more fulfilling and enjoyable. Although Physics is one of my main interests and the topic of discussion in most scenarios of my day-to-day life, I feel it is important to find some separation and pursue other areas of interest. Before damaging both my knees, a few years ago I formed a Sunday league football team with a few old friends that I help run. I am a keen film fan, an avid follower of the comedy circuit, and somewhat of a home chef. Whilst studying in Bath I volunteered for a programme called 'Lab in a Lorry', an organisation I found through the university. They tour the country in a large mobile unit kitted-out with several experiments and interactive demonstrations to bring science and mathematics to pre-GCSE children with the aim of peaking their interest. It is a joint venture of the Institute of Physics and the Schlumberger Foundation. I was able to volunteer several times and was privileged to be able to teach a wide range of age groups, which was vital experience for me as a soft introduction to teaching. During my time teaching I ran several practical demonstrations for the kids ranging from an introduction to fibre optics and their use in modern medicine and surgery, to an insight into polarisation of electromagnetic radiation and how it alters how we see our Sun. These experiences were extremely fulfilling, and encouraged me to become a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) ambassador whilst on placement in Oxford. This involved running several outreach programmes at local (and not so local) schools, with the intention of making science fun and more relevant to young children. Myself, accompanied by several other placement students, exposed scientific thinking and novel ideas to children of ages 6 to 12. Some of these activities included: telescopic observation of the moon, an insight into the specific electromagnetic dependent appearance of galaxies, the formation of stars and other stellar activities, as well as several other aeronautic and space based demos. I began giving private tuition in 2015 and have expanded my client base tenfold since starting out. My students have seen vast improvement under my supervision, with an average grade jump of over two grade boundaries. I have taught students from GCSE level all the way up to final year university students. The structure of my lessons is as follows: I will dedicate a third to one half of the allotted time to an overview of the method or theory that is to be covered in the session. The time dependence directly related to the difficulty and complexity of the subject at hand. This subset of time will be filled by an interactive slideshow covering the topic and basic examples of applications to everyday life. After this, I will introduce a few simpler example questions, that I will run through with my student in detail before handing the reigns over to them to answer multiple exam-style questions; for which I will give hints and review the necessary material before going through the method of the marker. This is a tried and tested successful technique. Upon approach of the examination period, the tutoring sessions will change to entirely question and answer based conditioning exercises. These will be example questions taken from previous papers and my personal stash of textbooks and notes. This method of teaching has worked extremely well with me over the last 10 years, and also with my previous tutees; and I have full faith that it will do wonders for future students too.

***Please confirm the times by messaging me as there is a technical issue on tutor house platform which shows the incorrect availability. I apologise for the inconvenience and I am trying to fix this issue asap. Please message me in the meantime, thank you so much and apologies again*** I am currently pursuing a PhD in Physics at University College London in Quantum Computing, Quantum Information.Prior to this, I have completed MSc in Applied Mathematics and Computing from Imperial College London and an undergraduate degree in Physics from King's College London. My academic journey through some of the UK’s top institutions has provided me with a strong and varied foundation in mathematics and the sciences, equipping me with in-depth knowledge and a solid grasp of these subjects. At A-level, I studied Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Chemistry, and Physics, which formed the bedrock of my passion for STEM. Over time, I have developed a genuine enthusiasm for helping others achieve their academic goals, sharing both my expertise and my insights from personal experiences. My focus lies in online tutoring for A-level students in Physics, Mathematics, Computing, and Further Mathematics, and I am also available to assist with university entrance exams and assessments, including the Physics Aptitude Test (PAT), the Natural Sciences Admissions Assessment (NSAA), and the Engineering Admissions Assessment (ENGAA). With over six years of tutoring experience, I have honed a teaching style that is flexible, supportive, and tailored to the individual needs of each student. As a tutor with an enhanced DBS check, I am fully certified to work with students and provide a safe, supportive learning environment. I offer both online sessions and, for those nearby, in-person tutoring at my home. Over the years, I have developed a deep understanding of how to support students effectively through personalized learning. I prioritize identifying the learning style of each student—whether they are auditory, visual, kinesthetic, or intrapersonal learners—and adapting my methods to best suit them. By incorporating these techniques, I help students engage with the material in ways that resonate with them, which not only boosts their understanding but also builds confidence in their abilities. Tutoring Experience I have an enhanced DBS check and have been working as tutor for 6+ years. My approach to tutoring is based on building a solid foundational understanding of each topic before advancing to exam-specific preparation. In our sessions, I start by ensuring that the core concepts are well-understood and that students have a thorough grounding in the subject matter. This may include revisiting fundamental principles and discussing topics in detail, so students develop a comprehensive understanding and can apply their knowledge to complex questions. Once students are confident with the basics, I introduce exam material that progressively challenges them. This dual focus on fundamentals and application ensures that students not only understand the theory but also acquire the skills needed to excel in exams. I place strong emphasis on developing exam techniques, covering time management, question interpretation, and linking knowledge to answer questions accurately and with the appropriate level of detail. In addition to A-level tutoring, I support students who are preparing for university entrance exams in STEM subjects, such as the PAT, NSAA, and ENGAA. With personal experience navigating competitive exams and applications, I offer insights into what these assessments entail and the most effective preparation strategies. I can also assist with personal statements, helping students highlight their strengths, achievements, and genuine interest in their chosen fields to make a compelling case for admission. Currently, I am working on a website designed to help students prepare for A-level Physics and university entrance exams. Drawing from my own experiences and expertise, I aim to create an accessible platform with resources, practice questions, and guides that can support students in reaching their academic goals outside of tutoring sessions. Tutoring Approach I give online tuitions. I base my approach to tutoring after evaluating what type of learner they are, whether that is auditory, visual, kinaesthetic or an intrapersonal learner. I can tailor my teaching to meet their needs. Additionally, my teaching method involves providing a strong foundation on the topics first, then giving suitable exam material to further the understanding of the student, ensuring that they have the skills needed for the exams. I can go through the exam techniques in detail so they can link back what they have learnt to answer questions to appropriate detail. My goal as a tutor is to inspire students and help them unlock their full potential, not only by improving their grades but by fostering a genuine interest in the subjects they study. I am committed to making learning a rewarding experience and guiding students towards academic success with tailored support, proven techniques, and a passionate approach to teaching.

Hello! I'm a recent architecture graduate, and I want to help your child achieve their potential and stimulate a positive attitude towards learning. It's as simple as that. In my opinion, the root of successful tuition consists of three factors: the attention the tutor pays to the student's learning methods, the passion the tutor has for the subject and the enjoyment the tutor receives from the act of teaching. My teaching methods hinge on the recognition that every child is unique. There is no "one size fits all" solution to learning, and hence I establish as quickly as possible which of the various techniques works best for my students and then apply the relevant tutoring methods. As well as maximising academic progress, this approach gives you more value for money. I know that a concept fully understood and a method embedded and consolidated through practice will arm your child with the confidence and skills they need to tackle any question or problem successfully. I also know that the key to success is effective study skills and habits. I can show your child how to organise their learning into easy to revise chunks that work for them. This is a skill that will carry them through their whole education. Anyone who knows me well knows my three main passions to be architecture, Spanish and football (because I rarely talk about anything else!). Unfortunately Tutor House don't offer football coaching, so instead I've opted to tutor the beautifully logical language of Spanish and the disciplines that underpin architecture: maths and physics. So, what makes me qualified to teach these subjects? As shown by my qualifications, I hold an A grade in both maths and physics A-Level with AQA and OCR, respectively. This knowledge is put to use daily in my job as an architectural assistant, where we use calculation and scientific reasoning to create imaginative, effective and innovative architecture that pushes materials to their physical limits. I studied Spanish up to AS-Level, receiving an A grade, and lived in Spain for 9 months last year working as an English teacher. Immersing myself in the language allowed me to learn it from a new, colloquial perspective, broadening my capability. Being the son of a teacher, I've always been close to the profession, and have learnt a lot about the process of teaching and learning through discussion with and observation of my mother. I get a sense of happiness and pride from helping people do things that they couldn't do before, so have always sought out opportunities to teach. In Spain I worked in a primary school, teaching ages 4-12 a range of subjects in the students' non-native English. It was incredibly satisfying to see how far they progressed month to month, and when I left to return to England it was sad to say goodbye; we'd built up quite the relationship. In addition I tutored young adults individually to improve their English. On returning home I have been involved in a term long programme for the organisation Archimake, which teaches children architectural design skills and inspires confidence in their creative ability. My other relevant experience includes childcare and mentoring. My positive and energetic character allowed me to build up a rapport with the children that I minded in their own homes, out and about and on their family holidays abroad. I strove to be an outstanding and trusted role model, whilst allowing them to have fun. At university I was a peer mentor to architecture students in the year below me. My role was to ensure their mental wellbeing as they adapted to university life and the intense architecture degree. Despite being a young tutor, my varied experience thus far has taught me a diverse range of skills and techniques that lend themselves to successful tutoring. I also think that my age makes me more relatable to students. In many cases I will understand and even remember the emotion behind their frustrations, allowing me to formulate a more considered and effective response. My attention to detail and thoughtful approach will provide your child with a considered tailor-made tutoring package. Meanwhile, my irrepressible passion for my chosen subjects coupled with a knowledge base formed by their intense study will facilitate productive and engaging tutoring. Finally, through my love of teaching I will try to inspire a fascination with learning in your child that will benefit them for the rest of their life. It's as simple as that.
